Noodler's Concord Grape

TO answer some questions in this thread, after having used Concord Grape for about two months

1) Very little if any shading out of my pens using stub or oblique-oriented nibs. Nothing like Apache Sunset's shading at least

2) Definite odor both out of the bottle and on the paper, at least for a few seconds. Nothing lasting, but it is there

3) Stains HORRIBLY your transparent converters. Use one in my Cross Townsend. Used to be clear, now it's solid purple and can't see ink levels.

4) Read on another forum a user warning not to use this ink in vintage pens. DOn't know the veracity of the comment, but there it is

I love the color of BSB but can't use it because of other problems, like staining the pens. I have a red Parker 21 that now has a permanent blue hood. The stuff even stains the sink when I clean out a pen! I think the behavior of BSB is legendary on this site. Is Concord Grape the same?

Thanks for a great review.

I received my bottle yesterday and filled up my Lamy 2000 M last night. I like this ink as much as I like BSB. It's really close to what I think of as grape. I'm happy.

I know this is an old thread but I would like to know if anyone has had issues using this ink with their Lamy's? Like people who have used BSB in Lamy's their feeds and nibs go all to HE**.

I'm using this ink in my Jinhao 159 and with a broad nib and am loving every stroke. This is a great color and enjoy the saturation it has. So far I have not noticed any bleed through in my Excompta journal.
