Pure silicon grease wouldn't react with the ink, or you'd be doomed in your piston fillers.

 

OTOH, if your piston wears through the grease and you don't notice, the piston gets stiff. If your metal eyedropper does, it starts eating away at your pen. So it'd be kind of high-maintenance.
