The biggest fountain pen that I've ever seen was a Namiki Emperor. It is probably comparable to the large Danitrio pens. A Pelikan M1000 is rendered a dwarf compared to this beast.

Quite impressive list. Which three are biggest and which one of these three do you like best (re look and writing)?

That's really a big one. Did you try it?

I want to buy a big one. I would like to test the biggest six, but that's not possible.

All of these pens are excellent, anyone you choose will make you happy.

I will tell you which pens I like and why.

1.Mont Blanc 149-This pen is my queen,I own one and of course its a fabolous writer. Its a really BIG pen and is a piston filler so that means it holds a ton of ink.But the thing that I like mostly about it is its design.I think its the classiest pens ever design.

2.Pelikan M1000-Its huge and in many ways is similar to the Mont Blanc, its a fabolous writer, has a piston filler that holds a ton of ink and also has a wonderful design.

3.Waterman Edson-This pen is the most striking pen on the list, its nib is in my eyes the most beautiful designed nib ever produced.Obviously its a fabolous writer too but the only weak issue in my eyes is that is a cartridge converter filler and not a piston filler.

If you have any questions or want more info you are welcome to send me a PM.

Merci beaucoup, ce stylo est très beau, mais cher! Do you have any writing experiences with these pens?

When I was at Ink the other day I saw that he had a pen in his Visconti case that looked like it must be an inch wide and 8 inches long. Geometric in cross section, an octagon I think. Blue with white and gold details on it.

I remember thinking, "That's not a pen, it's a mace!"

A little less common pen, but the Visconti Ripple also makes the 149 look small. I dont think bigger than the Dani's but pretty big. Heres one on the bay

As soon as I read this, I immediately thought about the Danitrio Mikado and Genkai. Even though I like big pens, the slightly smaller Mikado is rounded, and I like rounded pens. I have also held the Visconti Ripple, and it is the heaviest and longest pen I have ever held. The biggest pen I own (the aforementioned are on my wish list) is the Levenger Plumpster. It is substantial in weight and size, but not completely huge.

I just purchased a pen called the Advocate from a fellow FPNer . . . it is an ebonite-bodied eyedropper with a steel cap, and it is make in India. It makes my Pelikan M1000 seem junior-sized in comparison . . . it's 6 3/8" long capped and 5 7/8" uncapped. Diameter is about 1/2".

Also, I just purchased a Taccia Staccato in olive ebonite that is a cool 6 1/8" long capped. That's also considerably bigger than my M1000, which capped comes in at a svelte 5 7/8".

Sorry, it's not interesting, but like many fountain pens have a nib coming from Germany, the ebonite from Malaysia, the gold from South Africa, the design from Italy or Japan, the ink from France, etc many people are from all over the world depending on their ancestors and the food they eat.

Thanks for telling, I've never heard of this pen. The black ones are big!

How is the nib and the writing?
