Here's a question: Now that Sheaffer has been sold, does the "Lifetime" Warranty on their pens still remain in force? And what exactly did they warrant anyway, the nibs and/or the barrels?

My experience with Schaffer has been: "We are sorry but we no longer carry parts for your 'Lifetime' pen repairs....blah, blah. blah....." Then they enclose a new pen in replacement of repair....of course, not the same quality, etc.

Exact to the ...blah,blah,blah... my experience with Cross too.

Sheaffer fixed my pens for a charge of $10 -shipping costs, I presume. I would not expect for old parts and pens to be made and stocked permanently.

As far as I know, the Lifetime warranty refers to the nibs only.
