I think I should update my post of 25th March, if only to give credit and praise to Norman Hasse (hisnibs.com) for sorting-out my DVOS before sending it on.

I arrived in perfect condition and writes beautifully.

The Duofold deal was less successful.... the pen was a beauty but the nib was scratchy and so very wet that it had to go back to the seller, who discovered he'd sent me a broad nin, on a Medium feed...as it had never been inked he hadn't spotted this, and has refunded me (less shipping costs :( ).

The Delta Alfa Romeo off eBay is very nice....nib needed a minor tweak......as a result I have ordered a similar pen (Delta Alfa Romeo 1750), from hisnibs, of course! So that's what I am waiting for atm.

(I'd like a Monza, too, but they are a bit too pricey.)

If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you.

Full-custom Nakaya portable writer. I specified based on the Wedgewood wild strawberry. The pen is to commemorate my mother who died last year. She liked those Wedgewood porcelains and she grew wild strawberries in her garden. I'll post photos here when I get it.

I placed the order two months ago so I figure by end of May I'll probably have it.

Currently waiting on a Waterman Hemisphere and a Cross ATX from Serpentum. Like the look of the hemisphere, really looking forward to that one!

Also waiting on a nice wooden pen rest and terracotta ink well I just won up on eBay for a steal! ($4.99 won the auction, $9 for shipping!!!) :headsmack:

Chris

EDIT: BTW, my waiting is no fault of Serpentum's, I am sure it is stuck at the border somewhere waiting for a Canadian Customs agent to decide how much to stick me for taxes... :crybaby:

EDIT2: Pens arrived today from Serpentum, in great shape and just as advertised. Thanks Mark!

Congrats Mark! What a pen to cap a Snake themed collection!

I watched that auction close while having my Sunday morning tea. You got a great deal.

Michel Perchin shipped this pen to dealers in several different box styles. Mine was in a plain beechwood vertical clamshell. Michel Perchin now ships their pens in a much nicer varnished walnut casket. When you go to the Chicago Pen Show, you might ask the Michel Perchin Rep if you can buy one of the newer boxes for your pen.

Michel Perchin also makes a treated two-part polishing cloth that came with my pen. If yours does not include the cloth, ask the MP rep about getting one of those too.

Again, congrats. And Happy Passover.

Tucky goodness!

(Have ordered a Nakaya Piccolo, but I don't expect that 'til the end of May, earliest. I have to remind myself, oh yeah, I have a Piccolo on the way!)

Edit: D'oh! These are Karl's photos. The Tucky is in the mail. (Hooray!)

No, but it's a lovely pen. It arrived, got filled with Waterman Blue Black and went right to work.

I understand that genuine tortoiseshell is banned from import into the US.
