What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Finally found a Montblanc POA LE Medici at a reasonable price - only 5 days away (customs permitting...........). After reading the FPN review, I'm a little worried about it possibly being a disappointment but it will remain in my collection for my son to inherit - whatever I feel about it. If I like it - he will just have to wait until I'm too senile to write anymore............

I'm waiting on a pelikan m1000 3B nib that I won on ebay. I'm also waiting on a varuna rajan with the raw ebonite finish that I'll put it in to make an eyedropper fountain pen that I can use for signatures until I get a m1000 body to go with the nib. This is my present to myself for getting a tenure track position, I figure if I make it over the tenure finish line I'll splurge on the m1000, I can then send this nib off to have it made into a cursive italic and not be without it while I wait for it to get back. It will give me something nice to think about while I'm grading assignments. The rajan's finish should look nice with the lamy 2000 i'm planning on getting myself for my birthday which is coming up soon

Congratulations! Where will you be teaching in Brooklyn? I lived for a while off Flatbush Avenue, and was just through Champaign last month.

Let's see:

Pilot MYU from 1972.

The exact carmine red vac-filling xf WWII era Sheaffer Triumph I missed in the Marketplace about a month ago

My first Eversharp Skyline, in Blue Modern Stripe

My Black Sheaffer OS Flattop and Marine Green OS Balance, which I just sent off this morning to be stubbed by Greg Minuskin.

It's going to be a nice few weeks of getting goodies in the mail. Then I really must stop.

Should be here today, a black Pelikan M200 from Mr. Binder. Equipped with an oblique (OM) nib but I also ordered a spare F nib. Paper and inks are on the desk and ready; will probably start with Noodler's Squeteague or Marine Green (Semper Fi).

I helped index the the 1940 US census
