What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Five:

An old blue marbled flex nib English Swan by Mabie Todd & Co. being resaced by Bert Heiserman; a Waterman Ink-Vue found in a local antique shop I sent to Bert for evaluation, but no word on it yet; a Montblanc Dostoevsky that recently travelled to Hamburg via Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for a nibectomy and grafting of an OBB replacement (it may go onwards to Richard for a little bit of grinding - we'll see); an original Stipula Etruria Amber Grande gold which is probably in a mail-handling machine in Harrisburg; a old Staetler-Mars Tradition with flex nib getting closer and closer to Richard Binder's benchtop as it works its way down the queue.

I'm awaiting two right now!

- Libelle Chromatic from isellpens

- Pelikan "Grey Pearls" M200 from the bay!

I've been on the lookout for that M200 model for awhile, should be great!

Well, as of this moment, only the 3 somewhere in Richard's queue

The three others arrived today and...praise the Lord, and Spanish Customs..... there was nothing, nada to pay :o

(I had expected to be charged about $100 on my Delta DVOS, and black Duofold).

Perhaps they were late for lunch.... :)

So I got those and a Delta Alfa Romeo Giulietta Trofeo, a very pretty pen, to reminfd me of a car I coveted in my youth :)

Of the 5 this week, the Deltas and the Parker were, as expected, beautifully finished pens. (Review(s) in due course!)

The Bexley 10th Anniversary has a lovely nib, of course, but I find the metallic trim rather 'tinny' for a pen of that price.

The burgundy Sailor 1911 with Zoom nib was, frankly, disappointing..... but I'm sure someone else will, eventually, love it! The nib is, predictably, silky smooth, and the pen well-made..... just not for me.

And nothing in the pipeline for next week.... :(

If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you.

Placed an order this morning with Dennis Bowden (Parkville Pens) for a Bexley America the Beautiful in Mahogany with a stub nib. It'll be about three weeks in transit to me, not because of Dennis, but because of Canada Post and Canada Customs. If Ms Clinton were President of the USA I'd be very worried as she plans to revoke NAFTA, which would really put Canada Customs into a frenzy. Patience is a virtue; virtue is a grace; Grace was a little girl who wouldn't wash her face... Just say NO to Hillary...please.

A P51...of sorts. A Vac that has had a P61 XF nib affixed to it by Parker at some point in time....the best of both worlds!!

Hee... I ordered a Nakaya Piccolo Cigar (all black) with my name on it (in red):

I don't remember who alerted me to the price increase as of April 1, but thank you, thank you. I would have ordered this pen, anyway, so I figured I might as well order it now (a week ago). It won't ship for about two months, which gives me about two months of exquisite anticipation. Yay!

Waiting on a blue stripe Pelikan M805 from Braun's ... should be here this week some time ... takes a few days to get across the Cdn border!

Also a namiki/Pilot vanishing point [blue carbonesque0 and a Pelikan M200 body for a fine nib I have off an M215 (they're not techinically 'in the mail' yet - waiting for Binders to get home from the Atlanta show)

Great week to look forward to! <smile, smile, smile>
