Thanks for the welcome. Very similar, I got the writer version (has a clip) and instead of a stone finish by the grip it is smooth. Very excited.

Nibulus,

You're most welcome.

Your new Nakaya Piccolo sounds positively incredible ... a pen definitely worth waiting for.

Your excitment is well founded. :puddle: I go crazy (okay, crazier) waiting for these darned pens, I tell you!

Please don't forget to TELL US ALL ABOUT IT, once it's arrived!!! :D

Cheers!

I am impatiently awaiting the pilot custom 823 I ordered from John Mottishaw. I cant wait to find out what its like.

Xandos,

Before I say anything further, please ... from me to you ... :W2FPN: .

You have made two incredibly wise choises: Purchasing your ultra-gorgeous Pilot Custom 823 (!!!) ... and from Mr. Mottishaw, a top-flight nibmeister (and a very decent gentleman, I might add). You absolutely cannot go wrong with either, IMHO.

Please let us know how you like your new Pilot Custom 823, once you've had a chance to test-drive it.

Very Best Regards,

Not full pens, but I have done two nib exchanges this week, so I am waiting for a fine nib for my Lamy Safari and a medium nib for my Aurora 88.

I doubt it is in the mail yet, but I am also waiting for a nib for my Platinum 3776. A month or so ago I sent my fine nib to a pen person in Minnesota to try out for a while. If she likes it, she is going to send me one of her music nibs in exchange. If not, then my fine will be returning.

Aurora Sole

Greetings, Ctanouye!

And ... :W2FPN:

To quote an old R&B 60's classic: "Ya' got TOO MUCH Sole!" :roflmho:

All kidding aside, your remarkable new pen is truly stellar in every way. A "knockout" in the appearance department ... and will undoubtedly write every bit as good as it looks.

Congratulations!

A Danitrio Octagon in Tame-Midori finish.

Jpr,

Only one word comes to mind regarding your new Danitrio_Octagon ... breathtaking. I mean it.

You are indeed one fortunate individual.

Congratulations on purchasing arguably one of the most beautiful fountain pens on the planet.

My orange Lamy Safari 2009 LE is taking far too long to get to Nova Scotia from England. It's just over the ocean there... I can practically see it from my window... they could have thrown it over to me. Somebody go and get it for me!

Waaaaaa.

Okay, it arrived today. Whewf.

Everybody... everybody stand down; I repeat, stand down. The Lamy has landed.

Return to Def Con 6.

I decided that I would take the plunge and have my top five favourite pens made into cursive italics!!

This will make almost my whole collection italic and i can't wait to try them out!!

These pens are as follows:

Omas Arco Milord(new style)

Omas Paragon (old style)

Sheaffer Victorian

Stipula Etruria

Visconti Van Gogh tortoise shell demonstrator.

The work was done by the good folks at Pendemonium. My babies should be home this weekend or monday at the latest.

Jim

Hello, Jim

That's quite an assortment of writing instruments ya' got there! And when outfitted with Cursive Italics, they'll really become elite writers!!!

I recently received a Cursive Italic for my Pilot Décimo and it transformed it into a far more creative tool. "Regular" nibs are fine and dandy, but Cursive and Stub Italics make all the difference in the world, as you undoubtedly know!

It sure would be great to hear how well your freshly-nibbed FPs perform. Please let us hear from you once you've put them through their paces, okay? Thanks in advance!!! :clap1:

Cheers!

I am (not so) patiently waiting for a Diamond Point flexy fine from Artaddict, who mailed it to me in Texas, from upstate New York on Thursday. I should get it probably Monday or Tuesday.

2 Snorkels (should be close to being ready now) getting work done with Ron Zorn, grey and black

1 Snorkel Desk Set (my second), black, condition unknown

1 Esterbrook Dollar pen, copper with I think a 1554 nib, possibly in working order

1 Sheaffer Balance (I think one of the smaller sizes), black/white/grey, restored

1 Jinhao pen with broad nib, grey, new
