Waiting for three: Sailor 1911 full size 21K zoom nib, due to arrive UPS today from eBay, and a Sheaffer bottle of Peacock Blue accompanied by two (2) tranquil yellow Agio M pens, which I thought would have come yesterday, but didn't.

Champagne Pink Decimo, F nib!

The one whose auction I thought I wouldn't win. The one that made my fingers tremble while trying to use my cellphone to check if I won. When I found out that I won, I was so surprised I dropped the phone and felt faint all of a sudden!

It will arrive with Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-budo (wild grape) and Yu-yake (sunset) inks!

I am altogether fountainpenless! I'm waiting for a pretty green shadow wave Vacumatic that I bought over FPN, and my new Pelikan M200 is on its way back to the shop I bought it from for readjustment (arrived with a misaligned nib). I'm also waiting for a 0.5mm semiflex stub for the M200, also purchased over FPN.

For at least a few more days, I'm stuck with my old Uniball Vision disposable rollerball.

A blue Pilot Prera with a fine nib from engeika, altho' I suspect I may have paid a tad too much!

But looking forward to getting it, nonetheless!

Dear Clive, you are a very enthusiastic chap!

50 sheets!

I went into central London this afternoon and wasted a few hours in the shops. I tried a few pens - some Watermans, Lamys and my favourite Pelikans.

Fell in love with a red striped M600 and a black M800. I already have 7 Pelikans, so I desisted!

While I'm waiting for the Namiki to arrive, I've been eyeing up a Sailor 1911 on the Internet. If the Namiki's good, then I may chance another Japanese pen.

Garfield

Hey Garfield,

I suppose I do tend to get a wee bit (over) enthusiastic, especially when it comes to these infernal fountain pens! The new Binderized nib performed so magnificently that I kept returning to my desk, filling-out a few more sheets of paper at each sitting, until ... late into the night ... there had to have been a minimum of fifty sheets (filled-out on both sides). Crazy, huh?

There have got to be some absolutely first-rate pen shops in London. That would likely mean your bank account is spiraling downwards exponentially ... approaching single digits. Am I correct? All kidding aside ... a red-striped M600 and a black M800 are two stellar pens to be sure, sufficient to captivate any Pelikan collector's unswerving attention (and heart and money). M800-sized Pelikans are the perfect fit for my fingers; an M1000 wouldn't be "too bad" either (that's next!). I do hope you manage to take that black M800 home with you at some point (if you haven't already :) ).

There have been numerous favorable reports from happy Sailor 1911 owners here at FPN. It would be very difficult to "go wrong" with one of these fine pens, IMHO. The Japanese make some of the most exquisitely detailed fountain pens on the planet. Nakaya and Danitrio are certainly nothing to sneeze at!!!

Cheers!

Hello Clive

I've never heard of Nakaya or Danitrio - I will check them out, thanks.

Thinking about the Sailor 1911, maybe my next port of call will be a Pelikan Souveran M800 instead. I have a little rule (that I often break) that a true pen is a piston filler - no cartridges or converters. I notice that Pilot are similar to Sailor and Namiki, but use pistons more often. Perhaps I should consider a Pilot.

I really don't know why I'm thinking about more pens - I've got the Binderized Namiki on the way, last week a new Lamy Vista and today at the office I made copious notes with my beautiful M600 green stripe souveran and I used a gloss-black Safari in my last appointment of the day - that's without even thinking about the other 45 fountain pens that I own!

I think people like us need help!

Regards

Garfield

Just remembered, I am waiting for a Bexley BX701 Capuccino Swirl F nib, which should have posted yesterday. Snagged it off Marketplace.

Great haul, Matt! That stub nib sounds fantastic--better than a Uniball if I had to guess... Only a little bit longer wait.

I think I'm down to the following...

Ron Zorn (estimated ~1 week of ~6 week wait):

* Sheaffer Snorkel Special

* Sheaffer Snorkel Valiant

Purchases:

* Transitional Esterbrook with what I hope is an 8550 nib. I honestly forget what color the pen even is.

* Grey Dollar piston filler non-demonstrator

I think that's it for now.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited. Sadly, the M200 is going to take a while; I was too cheap to pay for express shipping back to the vendor. :headsmack: At least I'll have the Vacumatic to tide me over!

Still waiting for the Sheaffer Agio in Tranquil Yellow (x 2, with Peacock Blue ink) and Bexley BX701 Capuccino Swirl. Bexley probably posted Monday, likely to arrive today or tomorrow; surprised the Sheaffer not here yet.

To augment the champagne pink Decimo with F nib I am receiving from Engeika, I decided to get a 0.9mm cursive italic VP nib from Deb Kinney! She is mailing it tomorrow. *Excited!*

Donnie,

You have got to be one of the most fortunate fountain pen collectors on Planet Earth, for every time I check back to see what's going on in this thread, I see you are awaiting yet another Mother lode to arrive!!!

Okay, I'll admit it ... you can color me green with envy! :D

Sure wouldn't mind hearing your feedback on the Sailor 1911 and the Agio's, after you've had a chance to put them through their paces.

Cheers!
