Just after posting in the "What pen did you get today?" thread, I see this one... Gah :P

Anyhow, I just ordered a Pilot Birdie, red section with a medium nib from fleabay. There were ten up for grabs if anyone has been wanting one. This'll be my second FP... But where to go from here?

1. A Black Star 4285, with a Blach Star nib :P

2. A Soennecken S26 piston filler - now why does the name of this pen reminds me of a certain infant formula I used to consume as an infant, 40 years ago? :ltcapd:

i am waiting for my

Lamy Safari Yellow EF nib fountain pen,

w the Z24 converter

for my daily school writing needs.

my rotring seems a bit too heavy to bring around and i am in the process of sewing a Pen Roll Case for myself so that the family of three, lamy 2000 is taking a trip to states for overhaul, and i would place 2 pilot V5 varsity pen, to act as contingent pens when the fountain pens are out of ink.

Lamy Safari (Charcoal) with 1.1 italic. Should arrive today via FedEx.

Mike

Sadly, I am waiting on the replacement for this. I lost it last week :bawl: :bonk: and, even though I realised it was gone less than five minutes after it disappeared from my pocket, it was/is nowhere to be found.

Strategically, I am replacing the charcoal Safari with a red one because I know that once the new one arrives, the lost could nysteriously re-appear. I couldn't have two identical Safaris, could I?

A Nakaya Long Size Cigar Kuro-tamenuri.

And now the wait. It will give me time to decide on an ink for this special pen.

I am waiting for my

Lamy Safari Yellow EF Fountain Pen with Z24 converter

Sailor Sapporo 14K F Fountain Pen

and overhaul for my Lamy 2000 M Fountain Pen 1970s Production Model.

this if the end of the road for me in terms of Fountain Pen collection, guys.

I hope the Sailor is as what others reviewed, that it's incredibly smooth....

I can't imagine anything smoother than my Lamy 2000 M nib,

but since I have read that M Nib are alot wetter, as long as the Sailor Sapporo 14K F nib is smoother than my current Rotring Newton 'Lava' F Nib, I am one happy boy.

I really shouldn't complain, since I already received the Parker 51 from readymade (which was delivered here on Saturday, waiting for me when I arrived at work), but I am waiting for three other pens, one of which MIGHT have arrived today, but probably not, but who knows, maybe today... but probably not, and all I want to know is...

WHERE IS THE MAILMAN?!

He is very, very late.

That, or the USPS has already implemented the four-day delivery plan without notice.

Sigh.

Must be patient. Probably not coming today anyway. Patience, patience....

Oh yeah! I almost forgot... anticipation is part of the allure....

EDIT: Um.... TWO PENS CAME!

This week, I expect to receive a Conway Stewart 15. My second truly British pen (as opposed to a Parker made in England).

didn't get the CS 15 today, but while I was waiting, waiting very patiently, very very patiently, ... I got this one instead. Looks gorgeous. As soon as I get off this forum, I'll ink it, just delaying the pleasure.

Got this one coming from the sales board. I have had a couple of Ancoras before that fell short. Thought that I would give them another chance.

Well, could not find a photo of it so you will have to wait on my images.

Hi Clive

Thanks for the welcome

You are probably right. When the Dragon finally arrives, it will get a place of honor in my collection and provide years of service. But right now it just seems like an eternity before I get to hold it in my hand.

;)

Hi DesertWind,

It was my pleasure.

Once your Dragon arrives, you will instantly forget all about the agonizing wait! Easy for me to say, huh?

I hope the delivery person hands you that much anticipated parcel ASAP.

Very Best Regards,

Dear Clive, you are a very enthusiastic chap!

50 sheets!

I went into central London this afternoon and wasted a few hours in the shops. I tried a few pens - some Watermans, Lamys and my favourite Pelikans.

Fell in love with a red striped M600 and a black M800. I already have 7 Pelikans, so I desisted!

While I'm waiting for the Namiki to arrive, I've been eyeing up a Sailor 1911 on the Internet. If the Namiki's good, then I may chance another Japanese pen.

Garfield

Hey Garfield,

I suppose I do tend to get a wee bit (over) enthusiastic, especially when it comes to these infernal fountain pens! The new Binderized nib performed so magnificently that I kept returning to my desk, filling-out a few more sheets of paper at each sitting, until ... late into the night ... there had to have been a minimum of fifty sheets (filled-out on both sides). Crazy, huh?

There have got to be some absolutely first-rate pen shops in London. That would likely mean your bank account is spiraling downwards exponentially ... approaching single digits. Am I correct? All kidding aside ... a red-striped M600 and a black M800 are two stellar pens to be sure, sufficient to captivate any Pelikan collector's unswerving attention (and heart and money). M800-sized Pelikans are the perfect fit for my fingers; an M1000 wouldn't be "too bad" either (that's next!). I do hope you manage to take that black M800 home with you at some point (if you haven't already :) ).

There have been numerous favorable reports from happy Sailor 1911 owners here at FPN. It would be very difficult to "go wrong" with one of these fine pens, IMHO. The Japanese make some of the most exquisitely detailed fountain pens on the planet. Nakaya and Danitrio are certainly nothing to sneeze at!!!

Cheers!
