Ordered a Pelikan M640 Mt Everest last night. Waiting for a blue M600 to arrive soon too.

A gorgrous green M800 just arrived a day or so ago. I'm in pen heaven!

Nothing special but I went a bit nuts today (well I consider it nuts, but looking at some previous posts it looks conservative!) on eBay and bought a black Parker IM which is new in its packaging and got it under half RRP, won a black Parker Slimfold, and purchased four different colour 30ml inks and a Parker converter for the IM.

I can see this could get expensive...

Parker Sonnet Black Matte, s/s F. Took advantage of a price drop at Amazon just minutes before it jumped from $51 to $84.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

Ha! Hopefully I can hitch a ride on that air-ark to someplace drier. I'm gathering fountain pens, two by two.

Just a side note, with the Ark. You woul need to gather 7 of the "clean fountain pens" and only 2 of the "unclean fountain pens" if you are using the bible as a reference.

I would not want to start anything trying to decide what pens are clean and unclean.

Oh, what the heck, why not stir it up.

Pilot Custom Heritage 91 in soft fine medium nib on the way from Japan. This is exciting as this is my first pen with a Pilot soft nib. Having a Pilot gold nib fountain pen under $100 is exciting. Can't wait to hold it when it arrives next week.

Ordered a Noodler's Neponset tonight just for fun. Can't decide what to do next. I've been thinking about a Nakaya Aka-tamenuri 17 mm diameter long cigar with a BB cursive italic and a vermeil goldfish roll-stop from John Mottishaw. He also sells a Sheaffer Legacy Heritage Deep Cut Palladium that looks really sharp. I have a weakness for anything that looks like a PFM, having gotten my first one when I was in the seventh grade.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

They are gorgeous. What nib did you chose for the Sailor and how does it work right out of the box?

An ebonite Gama Hawk from India customized by forum member Hari to take Jowo #6 nibs (in collar) and Pelikan M800 nib units. With the Jowo nib unit, it can be used with a Schmidt converter or as an eyedropper (the pen is originally designed as an eyedropper) or as an eyedropper with the M800 nib. I have a couple of very nice M800 nibs (one of them Binder "Italfine") and a wonderful Jowo #6 (also Binderized to an "Italfine") which both should be a perfect fit.

I also have a Gama Jumbo Acrylic clear demonstrator on order from Asapens in India, which also takes Jowo #6 nibs (friction fit).

I look forward to try them out. Those Gama pens seems to be great value.

I chose a Broad because I prefer medium and broads, and honestly it is nice but it is not the best nib I have ever used out of the box. I wrote a review about it in the review section. My opinion is that the sailor nib is nothing too special when compared to a Pelikan, a MB, I have a Conklin Crescent filler that writes smoother out of the box. It's nice but not a game changer.

Very sadly the old style Pelikan M250 clear demo could not be located by the retailer and the transaction was cancelled. Very disappointed.

Welp, my pump pen still has not arrived from Ackerman. And today was the last day I had to open up a PayPal dispute. I'd give you three guesses as to what I just spent the last five minutes doing, but you'll only need one.

I try to give small businesses a chance, and have no problems for the most part, but 45 days is too long to wait for a pen that I was told would be shipped out.. two different times. So I guess it's time to ask Blue Line Pro if they have pump pens in hand. And if THEY have to order from Ackerman, I'll be saving for a Desiderata.

:gaah:
