Were you the one who beat me out on that 400NN brown tortoise from Germany? :D If so, congrats, I hope you enjoy it.

LOL. No, I picked up a green one. I bid on a brown tortoise, but the price jumped way up there at the end... a couple of snipers in the grassy knoll ;)

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Waiting for my blue Esterbrook SJ to return home after being re-restored (didn't appear the ebay seller actually restored much of anything). Very excited to get it back! Coming with it will be the 2668 nib it went out with and a 9555 fine that I have been interested in trying out. Can't wait!

Levenger True Writer Kyoto, F nib. I made the mistake of looking at the Levenger site last night; I couldn't pass up 30% off and free shipping.

Well, Philip at TWSBI replaced the feed on my 1.1 stub nib, adjusted the flow, and sent it back to me, so there's that. Faber-Castell has my BASIC, which, from the sound of it, has a cracked feed, and I'm waiting to see what happens there.

I bought a Platinum 3776 Century Shoji at Pen Chalet on Black Friday, and a Shaeffer Valiant and an Eversharp Skyline from the classifieds here.

I have the rest of the week off, and am going to prep my Nakaya Briar and Delta Journal to go to Nakaya and Yafa, respectively, for flow adjustments.

Lots of pens to-ing and fro-ing here!

While I am still not sure if I like calling a non-lava pen a Homo Sapiens, I am still very sure that that is a very beautiful pen.

So, excited expectations for you....

After two weeks of no reply, finally got one today from Rebeca at Ackerman Pens: the G nibs they were waiting on are in, but they are now waiting on overfeeds. *head-desk* I asked if she could just send me a Senior-size regular pump pen to make up the price difference of a Junior with the overfeed, and so I should be getting THAT sent out tomorrow.

Whew.. This pen is going to be handled with extreme care. Because I will never be ordering another one..

I don't know what's the matter with me. I ordered two pens today.

I had read someone's comment about how the Pilot Hertage 91 (S/F) was such a great drawing pen and deciced to look for one. I found it. While perusing the seller's ebay site I noticed a '65 NOS Pilot L-150MS. On it's looks alone, I carted it. I can't find any reviews or references to it anywhere.

I had a very serious, but brief, internal discussion about the wisdom of ordering them and wisdom lost out. I'll see how I did in a couple of weeks, I reckon.

I've been trying to save some cash for the Philly Pen Show in January and told myself not to go off buying pens before then. It didn't take.
