The two pens I won on Ebay arrived today,. I purchased one yellow acrylic pearlescence, and one deep red acrylic pearlescence. The acrylic is definitely attractive. Pen is 4 1/2 in. & cap is 2 1/4 in. Pen cannot be capped for writing. Thank goodness my hands are small, because this pen is definitely for folks with small hands. It has a screw on cap, with smooth barrel threads. Nib writes like a fine-medium. Nib size looks like a 5. Iridium point nib. Not scratchy, however, some feedback. Clip is tight. Did not come with a converter and just one black ink cartridge. I was able to use one of my extra ink converters. Not into ink cartridges. Section length is in proportion to the length of the pen and is not faceted. Nicely balanced and comfortable in my hands, though I normally write with my pens capped. This pen reminds me of the Jinhao Century Blue Acrylic, however, with gold tone furnishings. For the price this is a nicely made pen. The pen as named on Ebay: Free Standard Size Famous Style Senior Collection Fountain Pen. Comes in Black, Brown, Red, Yellow, Green acrylics.

A couple of sweet PIFs.

First, the Lamy Safari Apple Green 2012 LE from Discopig that I will be giving to my wife, loaded with Diamine Sherwood. And I'll be explaining to her just how easy it is to swap out Lamy nibs, and how easy they are to get.

Second is this, from TheRealScubaSteve: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/258092-pay-it-forward-2014/page-74?do=findComment&comment=3188926 -- for me. I've been wanting a couple of stubby-to-italic nibbed pens that use international cartridges so I can squirt tiny amounts of ink into them for testing (and possibly review). Most of my pens take over a week to write out when filled. I have a predeliction for cheap pens.

And the ones I sent off for repair: a fine to XF burgundy PFM II, a touchdown lapis-blue Imperial, and a copper Estie with the medium manifold nib.

The green one is a Lady Sheaffer that I just got off eBay, so it may be the same one. My first impression is WOW! This pen is one of the smoothest pens I've gotten, and I think it may even be a nice broad stroke.

For reasons I still can't figure out, a Montblanc 161 ballpoint that seemed to be a good BIN on ebay. I already have a 164 ballpoint (which is really too small for me). I suppose I bought the 161 because that was the pen I used in the 80's but sold when my wife and I took a sabbatical and hit the road back in 1992. By 1994, we were settled in another state and I just never got around to getting another. Considering what they cost then and what new ones (and even used) cost now, I should have done it sooner...

I thought about bidding on that one myself. Glad you won it!

Parker duofold Demi - i love 18k nibs, but never liked a fine nib before. Hoping this one convinces me otherwise!
