Hello Clive and thank you for your warm welcome.

I'm hoping I'll have a similar experience with the Namiki fine-nib as you had. It will be my first nib with any kind of flex.

When it arrives and I get a chance to try it out, I'll post details of my views.

Best wishes

Garfield,

You're most welcome. It was my pleasure.

Hey! A Binderized 0.9mm Cursive Italic nib (for my Décimo) arrived late yesterday (Friday / 27th) in the mail!!! Between then and now, I've managed to power through one ink filling and over fifty sheets of HP Premium Laser Paper while printing, writing, drawing and generally trying to evoke every conceivable scriptive nuance my vacuous brain can summon/conjure. MAN is it ever a BLAST!!! Can you tell how much I'm enjoying it? :D

Well then ... Begin preparing yourself for a writing experience you won't soon forget, for a Binderized Namiki Fine nib will be arriving at your pad shortly!

Can't wait to hear from you once you've had a chance to spend some "quality time" with your new nib. :bunny01:

Cheers!

-Clive :happyberet:

A Packard combination pen and pencil from 1928 in need of restoration. Wrongly described by the eBay seller as a Parker.

I intend to send it back unless another member would like the pen.

The mailman came without the unused, stickered Sheaffer Imperial Triumph from across the pond ....

 :D

It's now two weeks after it has been mailed in the US but still no trace of it.

Now I'm waiting three weeks and no sign of it. :bawl:

It is insured but without tracking. My single longest wait for a pen was five weeks from the U.S., but three weeks are well above average. My order from vakpens in January arrived within one week, after all. I still have hope, but fading ... :(

Waiting for a Visconti LE Mazzi Collection The Dragon with a broad nib. I live in Norway and the FP is shipping out of the US, so I'll probably be waiting for this one a long while. Ugh, hate customs :bonk:

Desert Wind,

First off, I want to say: :W2FPN:

Although it's got to be rough waiting for your Visconti Dragon to show up, imagine the pleasure it will provide you over the years. Some things are just plain worth the wait; a Dragon is certainly one of them. Congratulations!

Cheers!

Hi Clive

Thanks for the welcome

You are probably right. When the Dragon finally arrives, it will get a place of honor in my collection and provide years of service. But right now it just seems like an eternity before I get to hold it in my hand.

;)

Unclench your fist and you can grasp the entire world.

Amateur! :P

But possibly this only speaks on differences between the German customs and Italians. Here five weeks are the average.

I'm confident you will receive your pen shortly.

I am waiting a small nice package from the Lux. The week was steadily presided. Today we left for two hours and the sadistic mailman came :crybaby:

Now I'll have to wait until monday before I can get it.

Cheers,

Dear Clive, you are a very enthusiastic chap!

50 sheets!

I went into central London this afternoon and wasted a few hours in the shops. I tried a few pens - some Watermans, Lamys and my favourite Pelikans.

Fell in love with a red striped M600 and a black M800. I already have 7 Pelikans, so I desisted!

While I'm waiting for the Namiki to arrive, I've been eyeing up a Sailor 1911 on the internet. If the Namiki's good, then I may chance another Japanese pen.

Yes, the German customs are really rarely the problem in the delivery chain. If they want my money or are clueless, they send me a green postcard to turn up at their nearby office. And they don't charge a "handling fee" here like their colleagues in some other countries.

Waiting for 4 Pilot's. One Cavalier and three Pilot 78G in fine. The 78G pens were $25 delivered! From what I have read about them this should be an excellent pen to give as a gift.

the same Ebay seller had packages of 12 of the 78G for $80.
