My unadorned, two/toned 18K JoWo 1.1 stub finally landed.

It's possibly the best gold "factory" stub I've ever used.

I am waiting for two Parker 51s - a plum and a demonstrator - that were in need of repair. They were posted today and restorer said they both are as good as new.

Is that last or latest.....???

I got bored & ended up with a bid on a Jinhao x750 in the last few minutes. Got it below retail at the cost of free shipping ala Ron Popeil (set it & forget it).

Also, some Noodler's Apache Sunset & Pelikan Turquoise to expand my color repetoir.

The bad thing is, i think i might be getting addicted to it already and it hasn't even been shipped yet. I've been researching prices and styles of the Esterbrooks all day now.

Well, i was correct in that prediction. Just got the pen in the mail today and i only wrote a few sentences with it before i went and bought two more on the bay. I think i'm officially... addicted.

Yes, 12 pens from one brand are enough. I have decided to place limits on acquisitions and to rotate use and have all pens repaired.

Estes are like potato chips -- you can't stop at one! (Don't ask me how I know....)

As for me, the pen I'm waiting for is the Cedar Blue 51 Vac I sumgai'd a couple of weeks ago. I was able to get a slightly dinged up cap for it at the Ohio Pen show last weekend, and then it went off to Ernesto Soler for restoration and to get the dings hammered out and a new cap jewel, since the cap I was able to get was missing that. Very excited. I was not expecting that quick a turn-around. :notworthy1:

When I had showed Ernesto the pen and told him what I'd paid (it had had some random 3rd tier cap on it that said "USA" on the clip) he was almost gleeful and said he thought it might be an M nib on it. So now I'm just in complete anticipation and hope it comes quickly.

My friend was kind enough to buy me three third tier vintage pens. I thought it was for her when we were looking at a local forum's pen marketplace, but she said she was giving them to me as a gift. :) They're an Ottawa syringe filler, a Champion syringe filler and a Monitor lever-filler. You've got a nice friend. That green one looks very pretty.

Oh you will love that ink. It's absolutely gorgeous! I have it in a Pelikan 100 with a 1.0 nib, just to bring out the sheen. Just remember that the gold dust goes out of suspension really quickly -- you have to shake the bottle up well before filling, and then may have to shake or up-end the pen every little while.
