What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

"The bird has landed." I'm starting to feel like a child awaiting a new toy. Restored Esterbrook SJ-Series Grey with a #2968 nib. Inked with Chesterfield Erinite. This pen is in pristine condition. No scuff marks, scratches, nor discoloration on the clip. Two beautiful jewels. I think I am in love  Now to buy a camera to take better pictures.

So you got bit by that "la pluma estilografica" bug and you caved in (LOL). I do understand - that black double jewel transitional J-Series is one of my favorite, along with the B-stub #2314 nib. Join the ranks...joins the ranks.

I've been looking for the antidote for this FP affliction and have not found it yet. ;) ;)

You really mean - affection, don't you?

Well, I finally decided to get my first Pelikan. Even though I'm more than satisfied with the pens I currently have, there's just something about Pelikan's that draw me to their pens. I decided my first Pelikan is going to be the M600 Marine Blue demonstrator. They're currently on sale and I figured now is a good time as any to buy a limited edition version. Plus blue is my favorite color and the Marine Blue looks incredible. I will still continue to stalk eBay and Martini Auctions to get a more reasonable price on a blue stripe edition down the road.

It's going to be fun comparing the M600 to the Lamy 2000 and Pilot Custom Heritage 92. Hopefully the Pelikan nib will write well out of the box. My Lamy 2000 and Pilot nibs were perfect out of the box.

It depends on who is speaking. I agree that it is 'affection', however, I've got some friends who think I am crazy and need an antidote to overcome this FP obsession  (LOL)

So what if you are crazy? At least you're not alone. There are enough of us crazies to make it fun and profitable.

In addition to the Bexley Corona Blueberry Cream that I'm getting on Wednesday, I bought a Burgundy Parker 51 (which I'll be getting tomorrow) and a mint set of Parker 51 Navy Grey (fountain pen and pencil) which will arrive on Thursday. :)

I trust you will really like your Bexley Corona! The Corona Blueberry Cream is a very attractive pen. My favorite FP, of all my pens, is the Bexley Cappuccino BX802, which they no longer make. I recently saw a Bexley Cappuccino ballpoint and they wanted $89 for it. It is a beautiful fountain pen and writes smooth as butter. I do not carry it with me often, for fear I'll lose it. Enjoy your new acquisitions! Oh, by the way I got me a restored Estie SJ Grey with a #2968 nib today. Your latest Estie purchase inspired me LOL

Man, the aeros had me worried tonight. I was doing a new pen flush, just water. The Osmiroid & E95 didn't want to fill initially. Os turned out to be the nib unit not screwed in all the way. E95...I don't know, but it cleared up & turns out to be the smoothest thing I've ever written with. A bit thick though, between the medium nib & wet ink.

The Statesman remains uninked tonight. A bit tight on the plunger end from shrinkage, but it should be fine once I decide what to put in it.

Always wanted to live in Pigeon Forge but Johnson City kept calling my name. Just kidding about that. It's just that i knew or know people that live/lived there and thought it might get you attention if I named dropped. ;) ;)

Let's see if I can remember everything I splurged on last night... Not all of them pens.

Ackerman Manga G pump pen

E+M 2mm lead clutch in Light Oak

2 packs of Raymay Tomoe River Paper

Parker Parkette "Oxblood and Green" with an right-oblique nib (not sure if it was made to be such, ground to an oblique, or the tip of the nib is slightly broken from the listing pictures, but I'll certainly smooth it down that way)

THINK Nebula Galactic Fudge

THINK Nebula Irish Spring

Noodler's Acrylic Konrad in Coral Sea

Noodler's Ahab in Truk Lagoon

Goulet #6 two-tone 1.1mm stub nib (to put in the Truk Lagoon)

Whew.

Wow. Just... wow.

None at all. I have not bought one since august and am not even planning on buying one. That can not be right...

What's wrong with you?

Lol to the above. I am waiting for my Hobonichi cover to come in, expecting it tomorrow in fact, then the hunt will be on for the perfect matching pen. I ordered the apple red cover and am thinking of getting a Noodlers Ahab in Burmese Ruby. With a Goulet nib perhaps?

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

None also. However.... I just received a bottle of R&K Salix today. Immediately loaded it into my Mabie Todd Blackbird. What a difference! Pen's back in the rotation.

Just thought I'd like to make an update and say that I'm now waiting for both my TWSBI 580 (Clear) and my recently purchased Parker 45!

TWSBI Diamond 540 Amber with EF nib

I know 540 is replaced by 580, and I own a 580 myself, but I cannot resist translucent orange!
