Damn you Esterbrook people & the pens you wrote in on. I caved & picked up a black double jewel J with a 9668 on the way to bed last night.

Today I ordered a Sheaffer 300 in glossy black with gold trim with a medium nib. My first new fountain pen in decades and I expect to have a really bad habit shortly.

They said it should be mailed tomorrow so that means I'll get it just after I go crazy waiting for it.

I have my eye on that very pen as well, but I'm waiting until the planets and my bank account are in favorable alignment. B)

Enjoy!

Restored grey SJ Esterbrook with 2968 firm broad nib.

Nice pen and really nice nib. :)

Osmiroid 65 squeeze filler w/a medium italic. I was shopping for the italic for the Esterbrook & found a deal on the whole pen instead.

Had a bad week last week.

So there's an unpolished shu Nakaya Naka-ai writer with a 0.8 mm smooth cursive italic nib on it's way from CFP.

Also pre-ordered a Sailor Koshu Inden with the Petite Cherry Blossoms pattern with a 0.9 mm smooth cursive italic nib.

Just got notification that a Sailor 1911L with a MF nib is on its way. Have been waiting for ages for it to be dispatched. Can't wait to get it!

Looks like at least one other person on the planet thinks that's a nice looking pen. :D

I think it looks classy!

Hope things become favorable soon for your purchase of one.

It's on my Wish List at Goulet Pens. I'm planing to wait for my income tax refund in a few months and then go nuts ordering pens and inks. Have you seen Brian Goulet's video review of the Sheaffer 300? It looks elegant, and it's a big, "beefy" pen. I like big pens with some heft to them. :)

Noodler's Acrylic Konrad - Coral Sea

I just received my Acrylic Konrad in Coral Sea a few days ago. I promptly ground the nib for added flex and hacked and heat-set the feed. Here's a picture with a flex writing sample in Noodler's Eel Turquoise, which goes perfectly with the color of the pen  Have fun with your Coral Sea Konrad when it arrives.

Let's see if I can remember everything I splurged on last night... Not all of them pens.

Ackerman Manga G pump pen

E+M 2mm lead clutch in Light Oak

2 packs of Raymay Tomoe River Paper

Parker Parkette "Oxblood and Green" with an right-oblique nib (not sure if it was made to be such, ground to an oblique, or the tip of the nib is slightly broken from the listing pictures, but I'll certainly smooth it down that way)

THINK Nebula Galactic Fudge

THINK Nebula Irish Spring

Noodler's Acrylic Konrad in Coral Sea

Noodler's Ahab in Truk Lagoon

Goulet #6 two-tone 1.1mm stub nib (to put in the Truk Lagoon)

Whew.

Fun list of goodies headed your way. I've always liked the noodlers Ahab in Truk Lagoon. Are you going to eyedropper it?

I haven't decided yet. First, I have to find an ink I like that won't stain the inside if I turn it into an eyedropper. I have a Nib Creaper in Truk Lagoon, but it was stained by Sailor Miruai on the inside. I think I'll keep using the Creaper to test ink colors before putting one in the new Ahab. :)
