Baric, I must see a photo of your Pearlized Wine Glenmont. What a terrific idea for a style and material.

I don't have mine yet, but here are pics of one of the artist proof pieces from Edison's site:

Baric, this is drop dead gorgeous. The material has so much depth.

Yeah, I think so. As with most pens made from these types of material with shimmer and depth, a static image really can't capture how good they look in person. Wait! I can't say shimmer or depth, I have to say "chatoyance"! I think Brian Gray said that like 5 times in the intro video for the series! I thought it was hilarious.

The other material was a red and black ebonite with a pretty nice shine, but it just didn't make me go "oh...shiny" like the pearlized wine did. I'm really looking forward to this. Think I'll pick up a nice gold nib for it, too, it just screams "Gold NIB!".

Waiting for the drafting mechanical pencils and the lead holder of the 600 line from Rotring would be off-topic?

Patience is giving up on me!

Just ordered a left-foot obliqe 0.7 cursive italic nib for my VP from Richard Binder :)

What a strange world we live in, where people communicate by text more than ever before, yet the art of proper handwriting is seen as a thing from the past.

A Kameco Dia 2 w/chrome and a fine point. I really like the style of that pen. But then, I'm a retro grouch.

That section makes my fingers hurt just looking at it. I really like some of Levenger pens, but that one looks more like a torture device to me! ;-)

I'm waiting on a Lamy 2000. It's my first serious fountain pen. First gold nib, first piston filler, etc. I'm very excited.

Don't know the pen myself, but this points are so small it will not really hurt but provide a good grip even when perspiring.

I was, of course, exaggerating to make a point that I think the section is too aggressive, not that it would actually hurt. Forgive my hyperbole. :P

Heh.

That pen reminds me of the Rotring 600 (but with 7 sides, WTH?), that's why I jumped on the deal. We'll see.

NOS Pelikan M800 Red Striated.

Love those M800 pens. This will be my fifth. The others being a black, a green striated, a clear demonstrator and a green demonstrator from the 1990s. They are all daily workhorshorses in rotation. I use them for everything - even the crossword puzzle in our sunday newspaper.
