1946 Vacumatic and a 1942 Duofold vac fil on their way back from Pentiques. (Does the return of my own pens count?)

I've been on a buying spree lately. Just took possession of my first higher end Pilot, a CH91 SFM, and now I've got a TWSBI 580Al coming from Pendleton Brown with a Broad BLS nib. Can't wait!

So many inks, so little time...

I just ordered a Lamy 2000 XF.

While I was at it I ordered a vintage 14K B nib and a stainless F point, It'll be fun to see which shows up first, the pen or the extra nibs.

This may be for carry, in which case I should fill it with Swishers / Noodlers Verdun which is my usual signature color, OTOH, I'm feeling a lot like MB Irish Green which is a color I like a bunch. The third option is to fill it with Kon-Peki, which is my every day desk ink.

Decisions decisions decisions; I shoulda put up a poll ;-)

I'm thinking there's a Franklin-Christoph Model 66 desk pen somewhere in time and space between its origin-point and my grubby little paws.

At least, I pushed the "go" buttton...and so far there have been no alarms or alerts...so I assume it will shortly be in the hands of a carrier, if it is not already.

and a giant Wing Sung 590.

Ah, sweet anticipation :)

Heh. You made me impulse buy that one :o (according to tracking info it should be in town already)

That and a customized Mina from Brian Gray

A Jinhao 159 and X450 (Matte). I prefer matte finishes and I see myself using the X450 more on a day to day basis because of this but the 159 cost next to nothing so I though why not. I've heard the nibs that come with these pens are not really that great so a pair of black monte verde nibs from hisnibs.com are on their way also, one is a medium that is going on the X450 and the other is the 1.1 stub going on the 159.

I'm also waiting on (another) Jinhao 159. It will be fitted with either a 1.1 or 1.5 stub. A thick, wet line seems most appropriate for the size of this pen.

Too many pens....has anyone been experiencing delays with US customs?

I had a pen in customs for 9 days a few weeks ago and now I have one that has been in customs for 11 days! I called the post office today and they said customs can take up to 45 days to clear a package. :(

It normally would take a couple of days.

45 days!!!!!! And I thought Aussie Customs is bad (well they are) but here in the UK where I live now I don't think they actually check anything coming in unless it has "TNT" or sticks of dynamite with a huge ticking clock on it with wires poking out everywhere... then I guess they may check it out :P

Seriously though, it's a PEN!!!!! Unless it's one of those James Bond pens that explode... seriously what takes 45 days for them to look at a pen!?!?

What are the customs officers doing most of the time... lunch break?
