What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

I own two of it (and many other Hero) I'm quite sure that you will enjoy it. That Parker 51 lookalike is so nice.

A few months ago, a client who saw me writing with it told me " Oh, I remember having had the same Parker when I was student more than 30 years ago " I've had no intention to tell her that mine was a chinese lookalike, she was so happy to be 30 years back.

Lovely! I'm kind of hoping the Hero 616 parts will fit into some "fantasy" Parker 51 parts I found on eBay. (Some interesting marbleized barrel and shell patterns!) If not, oh well. They still look nice. I'm also hoping they work well. It seems like Hero can have quality issues from time to time. I only have one Hero pen, and it works nicely. Maybe my good luck will hold out for the new ones!

I just ordered a black Safari, a Coral Safari and a Vista. More Lamy love I'm afraid.,..but they work so well for me :)

I'm a Lamy-convert. I used to think they were ugly, but the more I looked at them, they grew on me. And when I used one for the first time, it was pure love!

I bought a couple of Hero 616's to tide me over until my next big purchase. I've been curious about them for awhile, so I just went ahead. One green with a chrome cap, the other burgundy with a gold-colored cap.

I love mine, but I did need to smooth the nibs. Easy.

Contrary to what I thought would be my next pen, I'm awaiting a brown Esterbrook J with a 1551 nib, it was a blind buy. I'm not sure of the condition of the bladder of the pen, but that's easily fixed (hopefully) if the bladder is bad. I've been wanting an Esterbrook for a while, and I have some brown ink that's not getting any love so, maybe I can sort of color coordinate now.

2 Pilot Pereras with M Stub nibs. I love Pilot Custom and Custom Heritage pens and felt I just had to try these.

I've been saving (and selling off pens) for a while now to get the last of my grail list (it was short). Today I went through with it. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of the week.

I just received my Visconti Homo Sapiens Crystal from La Couronne du Comte and it is by far the most stunning pen I have ever seen. The photos really don't do pen justice, the depth of the patterns can only be experienced in person!

Along with that my pink and purple Vanishing Points were also delivered to me today! Photos will come!

I've tried to "mix" the parts coming from my 51 and 616 .... The caps fit each other without problem, the other parts does not : the thread is not the same :-(. But I know that Hero 616 may vary from one to the other. Let´s hope that yours will be compatible with your 51 bits, parts and pieces ....

If nothing else, I will have at least gotten a cheap, gold-colored cap to go with the parts I want, lol. I can now feel at liberty to buy any actual Parker 51 I desire for part-switching otherwise! I only want the nib, feed, collector and breathing tube anyhow for that project.

Still waiting for my Kaweco Skylines, but my Wing Sung 237 arrived today, and it is GORGEOUS!! The orange marbled celluloid looks really nice. I just might have to get the other colors sometime.

A green (never thought I'd buy one) Pelikan M800. It's saving grace is a 14K nib, but it looks in pretty poor condition in the advert, we'll have to see!

Looks like I'm getting a Conway Stewart 100 in Crimson Blush, and a Pelikan M600 Vibrant Green. No more pens for awhile. I think.

I just won a vintage, apparently never used/barely used Sanford desk set. I've never bought a dip pen before, but this one was listed for $9.99 starting + $10.50 shipping, and included a perfect/near perfect condition stand/inkwell with two bottles of Sanford Penit vintage ink. I had to go for it, and wound up being the only bidder. The old-style, five digit phone number engraved on the ink well actually made it more attractive to me. It also included the set's original box, though that unfortunately is a bit damaged.

Since the auction is closed it doesn't show all the pictures it did before, but the dip pen actually has something that looks like a feed under the nib; I imagine it's some sort of collector to hold more ink so you don't have to dip as much.

I'll take some more pictures when it arrives tomorrow and post a separate thread. Is there a good site for information on this pen brand? I'd love to know more about it. I've gotten to use some of the vintage Sanford Penit ink before and really like it.

You really shouldn't tempt me further! :P But they are all so sleek and attractive.. I can see myself getting the other three in the near future.

That's a dip-less pen. They hold a lot of ink for being a dip pen. It's easy to change out the nibs too.

I'm waiting for a Crocodile pen and a couple more Hero 007 pens. The Hero pens make nice gifts and don't cost too much :)
