What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

I've ordered a Platinum Preppy to use with the Bay State Blue (thanks to MBFan!) but that will take a while to arrive as it's coming fom abroad.

Today I should be receiving a Herbin glass dip pen. I think the nib of my current one may be a bit broken as it doesn't write well at all. Looking forward to the new pen as it will make it much easier to dip-test inks :)

I really want that coral Lamy, Teahive! I keep basket-dancing with it at TheWritingDesk here in the UK :D

UK-based pen fan. I love beautiful ink bottles, sealing wax, scented inks, and sending mail art. Also, thanks to a wonderful custom-ground nib by forum member Bardiir, I'm currently attempting calligraphy after years of not being able to do so due to having an odd pen-grip :D

I live in the UK Baric, and we can only get a handful of Noodler's inks here via just one shop. BSB isn't available, but MBFan has very kindly sent me a small bottle as I was wanting to try it - I'm swapping with him for some Akkerman's ink samples :)

Goulet Pens ships international, I thought. I just got that bottle of BSB from them.

Akkerman's, that's something that takes a little effort to get here in the States. Almost makes me want to take a trip to the Hague...

Goulet's may ship Internationally but I'm afraid it is at exorbitant cost. The cost of several bottles of Noodler's was quoted at as much for the shipping as for the ink!!

I actually buy stuff from Goulet, have it shipped to friends in the US and they send it to me because that considerably reduces the cost.

I do not understand how a private individual can ship to the UK at a lower cost than a company but it is the case (totally legally, declaring the value etc)

I kept going back and forth with the coral Lamy as well. I finally decided to get it after seeing the Diamine Wild Strawberry, and thought they would be a perfect match!! Most of my pens are blue, green, black, and clear demonstrators. It feels kind of weird, and exciting, to branch out!

I also have a couple glass dip pens, so I always smile when someone mentions one! <3 Lovely for testing inks!

I am waiting for a pink Pilot Prera from Japan (it's solid pink, not sold in the US at all as far as I can determine) so I will be waiting for a long, long time. But that's okay, because next week I'm doing another order from Goulet, and I'll be getting fairly instant gratification there, ordering a gunmetal Plaisir for my ink-testing pen collection. :D

Ordered the Pelikan M205 DUO Green highlighter fountain pen. I do a lot of underlining in books and what not. Figured I would get some good mileage out of a pen like that. Should be here mid-next week.

I decided to get a music nib. So I ordered a Platinum 14k Black Music nib pen. Hope I like it. I'm not a composer

or music writer,I'm going for the line variation. I have stubs so thought I'd compare the two

I ordered another fistful of Chinese pens again last night. An assortment of Duke and Hero and Jinhao in various styles and colours. I regret nothing! However, they only had the standard shipping option which means they will be arriving by paddle boat, or possibly by seagull, either way, I shouldn't expect to see them until October probably.

You might be surprised. I ordered a bunch of pens on July 9 and the scheduled date of arrival was August 20 or something like that. They arrived from China on July 18.

To Misschief, it would be lovely to see them come sooner, but to protect my heart, I'm telling myself October. If they come earlier that's a fantastic unexpected pleasure, but this way keeps me from obsessively checking my mailbox for the next month and a half.

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

I bought a couple of Hero 616's to tide me over until my next big purchase. I've been curious about them for awhile, so I just went ahead. One green with a chrome cap, the other burgundy with a gold-colored cap.

I own two of it (and many other Hero) I'm quite sure that you will enjoy it. That Parker 51 lookalike is so nice.

A few months ago, a client who saw me writing with it told me " Oh, I remember having had the same Parker when I was student more than 30 years ago " I've had no intention to tell her that mine was a chinese lookalike, she was so happy to be 30 years back.
