Woa! it was not there. I had to call again. This time I was maaad. They passed my call directly to the driver... I told him exactley where I was (plus a couple of other things...). He finally came one hour after with the package.

Peew! One less. And a beauty: the Pel M800 has "W.Germany" on the cap band... and the nib... I'll have to tell about the nib on the Pelikan forum...

Cheers,

Andre

Andre,

Man oh man ... What you've been made to endure ... and due to apathy and negligence, no less. Frustrating and angering, to be sure. BTW -- That was funny: "I told him exactly where I was (plus a couple of other things..."). Sure wish I could have been the fly on the wall in order to have overheard those undoubtedly salient "other things"...!!! :D

Looks like all was not in vain, for you received what sounds like a superlative vintage Pelikan M800. Bravo, Sir!!! I am very happy for you.

Please do expound upon the nib when you get a chance (if you haven't already done so ... as I just logged-on a couple of moments ago and went straight to your post without looking anywhere else).

Wishing you nothing but the very best with your M800!

Cheers!

It's easy to see WHY each of you love your Taccia Staccato Starry Nights!

I'm sure this is nothing new to either of you, however (just in case  ) here's a review on the exquisite pen.

Cheers!

Thanks for the wishes. The nib is great, same flex and line variation of the M1000. It's enjoyable to write with it.

Now I cleaned and rested for the week. That was an hard task because the pen had some purple ink inside from God's knows how long. I had to use the Ultrasonic Cleaner to get rid of the stain.

So, now she deserve some rest.

Ciao & thanks,

That would be a red celluloid Omas Bologna that is currently at the local USPS for me to pick up tomorrow. FP not a bp. BTW, I do have the gold vein black celluloid pen that is absolutely lovely.

A Green Estie from Johnboz, a blue Estie from luckygrandson, and the Teal Blue P51 with gold-filled cap that I picked up on Fleabay at a bargain price. Oh and some Esterbrook nibs. I can hardly wait for all three - it's like the week before Christmas!

Good think for the letter carrier that I don't collect bricks or something this week! :)

I'm Andy H and I approved this message.

I bought a Pelikan medium stub nib from Binder ten days ago that I'm waiting ON PINS AND NEEDLES for.

After trying other people's Binder stubs recently, I am IMPATIENT! Maybe some of you know the feeling and can commiserate.

I have to say, I wasn't terribly impressed with the XXXXXXXXF Accountant nib on the VP. But then I wasn't impressed with the factory medium nib on the VP, either. It turned out... I just couldn't write with the VP (clip placement).

Mescof1 let me try his Binder medium stub (on his gorgeous Pelikan 800 or 805, the red-striped one). That's what pushed me over the edge into ordering one to try in my M215. Steel, not gold like Mescof1's. Probably equivalent writing delight, I'm thinking.

Tick tock, tick tock, sigh.
