What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

New to the scene. Just ordered a Pilot Metropolitan and contrary to some very sound advice I also ordered a Sailor Pro Gear Black with Rhodium M/F. Those and a couple of bottles of ink (J Herbin and Sailor) should be arriving sometime this week.

I've never used a Metropolitan, so while I hear nice things about it, it's never appealed to me aesthetically. Too many others out there that DO call my name.

Now the Sailor does appeal and I have looked at it several times, but never pulled the trigger. Let us know what you think of it. Sailor nibs are highly regarded and if you have it adjusted by John Mottishaw from nibs.com, you're in for a treat. Can't recommend the folks at Classic Fountain Pens highly enough, I'm a very happy customer. In fact they are handling my pre-order of the new Pelikan M600 Vibrant Green...

After no pen-related purchases for three or four months while I tried to figure out if/how I could afford to finish my degree, I broke down and ordered ink cartridges for my daughters' Preppies, followed soon after by Sheaffer Intensity Carbon Fiber with an F nib.

They both showed up yesterday and I'm very happy with both so far. The Belliver feels better in the hand because it's heavier and it seems to be less slippery than the Fusion 82, but the stub nib on the Delta is really something special.

Sounds like you have a couple of great pens there.

A midnight blue P45GT.

Very nice. I love the midnight blue GTs. I'm going to collect a pale green Coronet at the London Pen Show.
