What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Fantastic! Though I hate to admit it, this describes the days before every purchase.

"should I? Shouldn't I? Which color? Which one? Both?" but yet I still love the process ... Odd. Thank you for giving us this perfect word for the experience.

I love not being alone in my oddness!!!! Of course that is why all of us here, isn't it? lol ;)

Ooooh! I've been looking at glass-nibbed Spors pens recently. Lucky you!

I really like glass nibs. I had a glass dip pen once that was a delightful writer (yet another victim of the black hole that develops during any move, alas...) and have only recently discovered that glass nibbed fountain pens even existed. I'm hoping that at least one will be a quick fix, just a simple cleaning and re-saccing.

And I was sure I was going to get sniped on this one as I'd forgotten all about its closing time and only remembered to check on it later, in my mind only to see how much it finally went for. I was kind of shocked to see it was mine. :)

I'm holding off on any more fountain pens for now, but I've been wanting to try a glass nibbed dip pen, and now I have one on order. I've already got the metal nibbed type.

Waiting on a VAC-700

loonacy, I had a Pilot Metropolitan (M-Nib) once. I opened it, inked it up, loved the feel of the pen, the feel of the nib, it was wonderful. And 5 minutes later my wife noticed it. It now resurfaces occasionally if it needs inking, or if she's accidentally let the nib dry out (she's quite new to FP's.)

A Parker 21 desk set arrived earlier this week. The pen is currently being soaked clean.

I'm trying not to order another Indian ebonite eyedropper - this time it's a Ratnamson 302 that's calling me.

I don't have a problem and I can stop any time I want.

Am waiting for a white tiger Metropolitan F tip. It's for work, as I decided the screw cap Nemosine doesn't work as well for me for work. Although the Nemosine is an excellent writer.

That's very similar to the kind I used to have, and yes indeed it is! I couldn't believe the ribs in the glass could serve as such an efficient reservoir; it writes a lot longer on each dip than I expected.

I finally bit on the admittedly quite effective campaign by "Ron" at Pen Chalet to SELL ALL THE PILOT KNIGHTS. So I've got one of those, a Metropolitan, and some Sailor yama-dori (score!) headed my way. Really, gotta be DONE for a while with this shipment. Really. Honest. I swear. Fo' realsies.

Pelikan m600 red/black Souveran, EF. Have been saving for this for months. I was hoping to get it at the DC Pen Show, but life intervened and we've been housebound while my husband recovers from surgery.

Now I just have to figure out what ink to put in it!

Very nice!

They both showed up yesterday and I'm very happy with both so far. The Belliver feels better in the hand because it's heavier and it seems to be less slippery than the Fusion 82, but the stub nib on the Delta is really something special.

New to the scene. Just ordered a Pilot Metropolitan and contrary to some very sound advice I also ordered a Sailor Pro Gear Black with Rhodium M/F. Those and a couple of bottles of ink (J Herbin and Sailor) should be arriving sometime this week.
