What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Recommended Posts

A black Pilot Elite (along with a CON-20 and a bottle of Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki Vermillion)

A vintage MB 12

And, oddest of all, a 2nd hand MB 147 Traveller.

I say odd on that last one because the 147 has never really been a pen that interested me. The chance presented itself, and the collector gene in me kicked in... And this one is even more offbeat because it has a BB nib, and I don't think I've even considered getting a cartridge filler with a B or above... Ordered with a pack PR DC Supershow Green cartridges. That ought to be interesting...

An Italix Parsons Essential with the fine italic nib. It's a birthday gift from my wife, but she's still waiting for delivery from the UK. No problem, I'm a patient man...(yeah, right!)

What a lovely gift. I have 3 Parson Essentials and my fine italic nib is the best of the lot. Enjoy yours when it arrives.

Just got another entry into my collection of Cross Townsends -- a Citrine that I got on eBay for $70 because the seller didn't properly list it, so few people found it to bid against me. ;)

One more down, quite a few more to go.... ;)

I've been curious about the chinese pens so I ordered a Jinhao 611 ultra fine that I'm currently waiting for.

I love mine! As a matter of fact, I have a package of 5 coloured 611s in my Amazon cart. I'm just waiting to see if there's anything else I want/need.

A waterman something I got from e-bay.

I suspect it is a Waterman Gentleman, but it may prove to be a Le Man 100 - not sure yet. It's brown and came with an 18k nib. Very difficult to tell which of the two it is in the photo - it is a "top" end Waterman, and comes with a modern converter which puts it somewhere between 1980 - the present.

Visconti Opera Blue Typhoon. I have had such a great experience with my Homo Sapiens I wanted another Visconti. Supposed to be mailed tomorrow, so I will now try and be patient but I am not very good at that. I will rearrange my ink collection in alphabetical order.

A lot of 20 misc Wearevers (mostly) for repair. I'm gonna learn me some more pen repair, the hard way. Best to do it on inexpensive ones that can survive my early efforts. I've already reached the stage where I'm probably going to get a home plating kit so I can touch up clips, levers and nibs on my own (and maybe hotrod a couple--I've a red Estie that would look drop dead gorgeous with gold-colored trim, I'll wager)... this hobby really is a slippery slope!!
