What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

I wanted to reward myself for passing the USPTO Registration Examination, so I just ordered a 0.7mm right foot oblique cursive italic for my Vanishing Point from Richard Binder. Shipping Wednesday. :)

I'm really excited. This is my first CI and my first oblique. I've used a stub-italic before without the obliqueness, and I could never master not holding my hand at a NE angle. I'm hoping this pen will be a lot easier to work with, and I can't wait to experience one of Mr Binder's nib grinds.

Excited.

On Monday morning, just before embarking on the 7.5 hour drive to Melbourne, I got a call from the courier company saying they had my package (a Sailor Sapporo F) but couldn't deliver it to my parcel locker. I didn't have time to pop into their depot to pick it up, so asked them to hold it until I got back.

I got back at about 5pm on Friday, and of course they're only open business hours, so my new pen is sitting about ten minutes drive away but I can't get hold of it until Monday :-(

Might have stolen a few. That would count.

Haven't had the inclination. Well, pity. I have sold pens from my collection in the past two years, but haven't come into possession of any new additions. When I break the pattern by acquiring something from Cultpens, I'll let you know.

I think I'm going to be the recipient of a Platinum Cool medium nib... With Iroshizuku Kon Peki, and a micromesh to sand that converter as per Goulet's instructions, can't wait!

Those Usus ballpoints are really a bit of fun, and although I seldom use a BP I actually did buy this one for the fun of it. Athough it sits in its box in a drawer somewhere, I think.

It opens/closes by turning, where is the shown position the point is hidden, where both wavetops in the front and back-part touch. To open, you turn the parts 45 dgr and the wave tops fall in synch to each other. The two parts are kept together by a magnet. Actually no moving parts for the refill.

Omas Arte Italiana Art in navy blue. After the Homo Sapiens, my Arte Italiana Noir is my most comfortable pen to hold. The Art has the same engraved rice pattern in their cotton resin material as on the Noir. Their milord size is just perfect for me, and I prefer the 12-sided design over a round one. While the Noir has a converter, the Art has their piston. I've been looking for a nice dark blue pen, and I'm glad I waited...

Sadly, none at this time. When my two Konrads (one ebonite, one black) arrived, my bride asked me how many pens is enough. I replied "I would have said one more, but apparently the correct answer is two more." She was NOT amused.

I am currently waiting for a waterman carene (black body with gold trim), I can't wait! I am currently trying to figure out which ink to use but that wont be a necessary decision until I buy a converter as the pen doesn't come with one.

Waterman Carene, Parker 75 ciesle, Mont Blanc Noblesse VIP, Parker Sonnet, Sheaffer Prelude, Lamy Studio, Cross Beverly.

Just got today, all the way from Japan in 4 days, a Platinum 3776 with the Sf nib. Very smooth nib , a bit of variation and I am very pleased with it.

I am waiting for a blue Pelikano Junior. I had one oh, five or six years ago that I bought in a New Haven art store but it was quickly pinched at the library. I thought about replacing it a few times but never got around to it. I saw one in a friend's hand and she confessed that, although she has much more expensive pens, it has become her "go to" pen for work. It was really cheap on Overstock so I ordered one. I hope mine gives me as much pleasure as hers does.

I just learned that my Parker 75 with a Premier nib, purchased new at Seattle Pen years ago, has been repaired by Indy Pen Dance and is on its way home. Yes.

Waiting on my Dark Blue Parker 45 with an F nib. It was supposed to be here today, but naturally, it wasn't. It'll probably arrive tomorrow, because I won't be at home to enjoy it until tomorrow night. Ah well, small price to pay. (This is my first pen so I'm a bit anxious  )
