I was (and am) waiting for a Platinum PTL-5000A in black, with fine nib.

I was just supposed to be waiting for a couple of Pilot Metros (a fine and a medium – worth trying both for the price) that I got from Massdrop a couple of weeks back (this was before the Staples sale, but I'm not sure they shipped to Australia, whereas Massdrop did). They only just dispatched them in the last day or so, so might not arrive for a week or so.

 

But then eBay Australia had a 15% of everything sale last Sunday, so I couldn't resist splashing on a Pilot VP Matte Black Medium. I'd never intended the VP to be my next pen – was thinking more a Pelikan M205 but the delivery on all of the new Pelikans on eBay tended to be around $40, which is a bit steep for a ~$100 pen. For $A150 delivered the VP was a bit of a bargain.

 

Both packages are now making their way to Australia, so I'm impatiently waiting for notification of delivery.

 

I still want a red Pelikan M205 though…
