Just purchased a 1942 Parker 51 in India black with stacked coin cap from Pendragons. Very excited as this will be my first "new" 51 in many years.

Judging by the relative size of this thread compared to any other topics, I'm starting to suspect that the favorite occupation of the forum's members is to wait for pens in the mail :)

Actually waiting for a few of the various Noodler's Flex pens (Ahabs, the original Noodler's flex, and another Konrad. I successfully modded one with a nice flexy nib and I ordered a whole bunch of other copperplate nibs so I can make some beautiful frankenpens in the near future. . .Never thought it would make me so happy to mod a simple pen but here I am. . .Picture for proof of my 24 and 16 dollar pens that write similar to my 140 dollar pen. . . .

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Glass-nibbed Oja coming in from Germany, woot!

Well, to be fair, it provides satisfaction for far longer than the actual act of buying the pen...

Currently waiting on a Waterman Apostrophe in marbled green, and Parker Rialto in marbled green and gold, as well as a selection of various peripheries; hopefully everything will be on my desk at work in the morning. Just received a Sheaffer Crest, and Craftsman back from repair, which was totally worth the wait.

I'm waiting for a Parker Duofold.

I've always wanted the Parker Duofold, but I'm a 13 years old. I don't have $400 to spend on a pen.

So I tricked(?) my parents to "donate" some money to me.

And there! Order confirmed!

I don't know which is cooler: that you love vintage pens or that your parents support that. My son is about your age and he is only interested in things like Playstation, Nerf-guns and legos.

Congrats on your new pen!
