Noodler's Konrad Acrylic, Emeralds in the Sun. Not sure why really. I decided I needed one, and haven't been able to get it out of my mind.

Just pulled the trigger on my first Russian pen, a Soyuz desk set commmemorating the early Soviet space program. The holder, with the pen in it, looks like a rocket. For an old space nerd like me, that's just completely awesome. I should have it next week; it's the only one I've seen already in the US, so I won't have to spend as much on postage as I did on the pen.

MORE pens for Someone Else... ;)

P21.JPG

I was REALLY looking for a clean P-45 for my friend but I just couldn't pass up this Parker 21 Super for $13 shipped.

I know about them but I can't really KNOW about them until I hold and play with one, right? I'll clean it all out good and polish it up for my bud and see how they write before it heads to The Great White North.

So yesterday I logged in to see what's new and exciting in the world of FP's and ended up buying a Parker 51 on a whim, which would be number 3 in the mail. #1 is a Parker Vector in blue (a boring looking affair) and # 2 is some weird platinum with maki-e flowers and an apparent 18K nib for my gf who is a properly good sport about my pen sprees. Does Platinum Standard PTL-20000 make sense as a model number?

After a splurge on a local auction site, I'm waiting for a vintage Parker Victory and a Wahl Eversharp hard rubber (red mottled) safety pen.

A Skyline with a striated cap and (if I remember correctly; I didn't save any pictures and only have the thumbnail) a visulated section. It still remains to be seen whether it is standard or executive.

It was a 1-day auction with about an hour left and no bids from a seller I'd bought from before so I just checked for major flaws and bid

A couple of Watermans, a blue Esterbrook with flexible medium nib, a Blackbird Marbie Todd with gold nib, and a Swan Marbie Todd with #4 Oblique nib worked on by Richard Binder. Waiting on pin and needles for them to arrive. Maybe that should be "pens and nibs"!

I have an excuse to buy a new TWSBI Vac with a 1.1 mm nib. My little puppy chewed my TWSBI 580. Thankfully it was empty.

I have gone cheap and purchased two Jinhao pens. One bogey green Jinhao 599. The pen colour reminds me of my Grandma and Grandpas kitchen cupboards which were repeatedly painted with the same colour green. So this is a purchase for the prosperity of memory rather than purchasing a close resemblance to a safari. The other pen is a Jinhao brush pen. I thought it might be fun to play with
