What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

scratchy

Recommended Posts

Oh, I spotted that on the Sunday fleabay listing earlier today. Lovely looking pen!

I've been watching it ever since it was listed and I'm just so lucky to have won it. This photo as well as the other photos the seller, Paul from Sentinel-Collectables in England, posted are really nice and showcase the beauty of the pen, as they should. When it looks like that, yes. Yes, it is.

;)

What a great looking pen - the detail on the clip is very intricate.

Hope to see more info when you receive it... :)

Absolutely. I will post photos as soon as it arrives. The clip is a dragonfly and I adore dragonflies.

Helloooo fellow pen hounds..... /default/happyberet.gif

I have just ordered a Sailor Sapporo F nib with gold trim. I don't reckon it will arrive till next week though...... /default/crybaby.gif

(I've already got a Professional Gear with B nib)

For what pen(s) are you waiting, in the mail? And are you waiting patiently lol....

I am newly waiting for a German NOS no-name piston filler from Lexaf here on FPN. I am waiting patiently, because he is in Netherlands, and I am in Texas. I have purchased from him before, several years ago, and it was a great experience, and anticipate this one will be also a great experience.

I too bought one of those, and it's a really neat little pen. It did not take very long to reach me in the Caribbean - just 10 days. I call it my proto-Pelikan. I did swap out the nib it came with for another that Lexaf had sent me earlier; the original was very scratchy and I think had somehow lost a piece of its tipping material. No big deal since the nib came out easily and the other one was a perfect fit...

A Namiki Vanishing Point, matte black, M nib. I hope the M nib is a good compromise for my daily needs - broad enough to have fun writing and fine enough to work on the ballpoint-optimized forms that I have to fill in sometimes...

A TWSBI (anyone else just love saying that name?) Diamond 580 Black & Rose Gold with fine nib. I'm hoping I won't get a dud!

I've ordered my VP with m-nib from Richard Binder, thus it's a wet writer and the line is surprisingly wide. It's a tiny bit wider/broader than the m-nib on my TWSBI and my Pelikan 200.

On-Topic:

My Pelikan M200 has seen better days and I'm afraid it won't survive further use (it's a gift from my mom). So I bought a new one :-D

Hopefully it arrives this week.

Congratulations! I've had mine since December and I've not had any trouble with it. It always writes beautifully without any skipping or starting issues and the plating hasn't worn. I use it more often than I thought and one of the reasons is I just love seeing the ink swirling around in the clear body. Enjoy it!

M will definitely feather on bad paper. I have a VP in XF that I use for random paper and it still feathers a bit sometimes.

3 Pilot Preras, a Pilot Plumix, 2 Pilot Penmanships, a Pilot 78G (the preceding 4 pens are for nib swaps) and a lot of paper!

Thanks!

I plan to do long writing sessions with it, so I sure hope it'll be as nice as yours. Good to know you haven't had any issues with flaking, I only read about it after I ordered. Not sure it would've stopped me buying though, it is too gorgeous!

Tracking number says it's out for delivery, but it didn't arrive before I had to leave for work!! :gaah:

I do believe you'll very much enjoy using it. I've used mine for longish sessions and it's great (although I don't post it).
