In addition to a Lamy we think is a Ratio, a Snorkel, and a lever-fill Craftsman, I bought the following over the weekend that go to my waiting on queue:

3 Pelikanos of what appears to be two slightly different eras

and

2 Sheaffers I hope are touchdowns -- one hopefully a tip dip and the other hopefully with a triumph nib

I hope to also get two Snorkels sent out to Ron Zorn I contacted him about in January, which would then go into my "waiting on" queue for a different reason.

I only bought one of those that you referred too, quoting my own post. It's the first one, the Onoto, because of the nib : a semi-flex medium stub. My collection is a very modest one -- I'm sticking to what I can afford, mostly vintage, writing instruments that the majority of people would have worked with. Only about twenty-five pens.

One of the members of the Ottawa Fountain Pen Society says he has more than seven to eight hundred pens, which he has been collecting for the past 25 years. His twin brother has only three hundred, more or less.

Thank you for your comments about my posts. I also love to read your posts.

Fernan,

Thanks for your detailed reply. Your FP collection is certainly a worthy one - that I am sure of. The Ottawa Fountain Pen Society member sporting 700-800 pens must be a very dedicated collector and/or independently wealthy! :o

You're most welcome. (Re: "I also love to read your posts.")

Cheers!

A cross hatched lever filled Ebonite Churchill with a fine italic nib.

K

(bleep),

What an absolutely incredible objet d'art you bought! Congratulations!!!

Conway Stewart produces some of the most visually appealing fountain pens on Planet Earth, IMHO. Their flagship, the Churchill, is THE top model in their impeccable Connoisseur LE Collection ... and you now own one! Impressive. VERY impressive. :clap1:

There's no question you'll be enjoying your fine new acquisition for many years to come.

Very Best Regards,

I'll have to take pictures when I get the pen as the pattern is different from the ones above- more of a basketweave/ crosshatch is that makes sense.

A Pelikan black 400NN.

And because I'm a Beatles fan, 2 floaty pens from the 60's, mint, one with the Beatles "floating" down Abbey Road, the other with them floating along in the Yellow Submarine.

Did you see that there's a White Album LE pen out there!

Yes that's the pattern on the Churchill's barrel, not really easy to describe in words.

Last time I posted here my pens arrived in a short time, so I'll try again this scaramantic thing.

I am currently waiting for three pens:

- a Sheaffer Triumph acquired here B)

- a Pelikan M420 which was purchased on ebay two weeks ago and that starts to get me nervous

- a Pelikan M800 Old Style that was a great deal on ebay, but happened only end of last week so it will be some time before it's here I guess... :cloud9:

Now, hopefully tomorrow something will happen...

DHL came with my Stipula today, but I wasn't there to sign for the package. Now I have to wait another day. Gaaahhhhh! I'm not good at waiting.

My first non-Pelikan for a long time.....finally decided to give a Parker 51* a try, to see what all the fuss is about. It's a grey aeromatic with a fine nib, not perfect (has a small crack in the cap) so not expensive. Should be here Wednesday?

*(Was bidding on some Duofolds but the same guy (using bidding software) beat me three times in the last 5 seconds on different pens from the same Fleabay seller!!)
