Sorry ;)

In later news, my Nakaya should show up tomorrow. And my Platinum 3776 shortly after that :D

So excited,

Joe

I can hardly wait to see pictures of your new pens, Joe, especially that Nakaya! Please let us see writing samples, too.

and now,

My last pen purchase for a very long time: Danitrio Takumi in Shu-dame (red). I didn't have just a plain one without maki-e painting, and I've been staring at it a long time. No customizations, just good flow.

Ok, I just put away the credit card for the last time for "discretionary" purchasing. It is quite literally locked away in a drawer that takes forever to get open, and I don't have the card number memorized. :excl:

Now, all my remaining money is hereby devoted to health insurance, taxes, food, utility and vet extortions. I shall now be locked away in my little, overstuffed hole in the wall with my paints, books, pens and inks; and I will drive everyone around me mad with "sorry, I can't afford it," after my "poor me" overindulgences of the last 90 days. :glare:  :gaah:

But I don't regret any of it.

I have two pens winging their way toward me, a Pilot Vanishing Point in dark blue / chrome coming from Japan, and a brown Vacumatic with Jewellers cap band from the USA...

I'm getting very twitchy waiting for the postie!

Kaweco Classic Sport Demonstrator, Pilot Decimo in Dark Blue and a bunch of ink samples from GouletPens. I really should stay away from these sites and save my bank account!

Ugh...Still waiting on my M150. Things seem to go so much slower when there is no tracking info available....

I'm waiting on a Swan Mabie Todd clipless SF2, hopefully I'll have it in a day or two, I've no idea how much work it will need, in the photos it looked like a clean and service should have it up and running but only time will tell :)

Waiting on my black Montegrappa Parola to get back to me. Returned it to FPH because the nib was super scratchy and even knifing at times. They replaced the nib section but said the Parola doesn't perform well when writing fast (e.g. signing documents). I'm going to try the new nib and decide if I can live with it or take their offer of trading it in for something else. It's a great looking pen..maybe I could try signing my name really slow from now on. ;)

Ordered a Twsbi Mini EF on Wednesday late at night and it's made it to the ups station in my city this morning. Just waiting for the status to change to "out for delivery".

Edit in: and 24 minutes later, "out for delivery".

Second Edit: It arrived at noon! Wooohooooo!

Today was a really good day with six pens arriving....three repaired pens back from Fountainbel, two Omas pens one repaired after a leak and the other after an Oxonian regrind to OBBB and an EF blue striated Pelikan M800. All waiting to receive an Akkerman ink fill with two new bottles also coming in. What a day. Can't wait to see them inked and having a workout..... :D

2 Lalex Zebras (x1 Silver and x1 Gold) from woot.com, due to arrive 3/11. Anytime you can get 2 piston fillers of unknown quality for less than $20 each you got to do it...
Maybe I'll dedicate one to baystate blue.

Replacement for my long lost Estie J at last! And a marble desk set. :)

I'm still waiting for my Jinhao X750, but another few chinese cheapies have been added to the list. I was browsing pens to see if I could find a medium nibbed version of my Hero 382. When my wife looked over my shoulder and pretty much fell in love with a blue Hero 6081. I'd promised her to buy her a pen she liked and that was the one she wanted. I guess I got lucky with her liking such a cheap pen. Now let's hope it will be a good writer. But as pretty much all sales for a single Hero 6081 were for "random colour", I had to buy a set of 2 with a black and a blue version, so I'll have one for myself as well. And at least there's twice the change to get a good writing one, she'll get the best nib of the two.

I ordered another cheapie as well, I wanted something different than a black pen, so I ordered a blue Kaigelu 356, as I read some positive experiences with this model by the good folks of the internet.

... Never underestimate the power of human stupidity ...
