What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

That is a beautiful pen! Very eye-catching! It's quite a large pen, yes? The nib is lovely. Can it be posted and will you do so? What kind of filling system does it have?

You did a nice job with the photos! Now, I want to know about the books in the second photo.

Okay, I have photos of my new pen. It arrived Tuesday afternoon, and I snapped photos today. After some poking about the site and thinking, I decided to post them in this thread, since there was no photo accompanying my original post, and...there were just too many other places they might possibly go for me to decide among them in a reasonable length of time. I hope to do something in the vein of a review once I've had the chance to properly ink it and fill up a few pages.

Meanwhile, for your examination, the 61st Edison Nouveau Premiere Macassar Ebonite LE:

(I hope the photos are tolerable; I did warn my photography skills are...well, calling them "skills" flatters them considerably. The above images were the two, of about 30, that turned out.)

I can't really say a whole lot more about it not yet having used it; but I can say I love the looks, the color, the finish--for me it's an aesthetic hit, and it feels good in my hand. Very pleased, so far.

Thanks for the support everyone. I looked up some old threads about fine italic nibs to console myself, and some people have recommended the Nemosine as an option which fills the ignored niche of affordable italic nibs that are finer than usual. I guess it's comforting to know that people have been arriving at the same conclusion I did.

I love most of my pens in that price range. Hopefully you have gotten your Nemosine by now and it served you well. And if not, the company is great when dealing with issues.

As of noon today, it's in Jamaica NY, which is actually further from Toronto than it started (Pittsburgh). I nearly had a heart attack upon seeing "Jamaica" until I realized that it's a place in New York. Got a chuckle out of that, but now I'm sad that this will be a fountain pen-less weekend.

A bit off-topic, because it is a drafting pencil, but I'm really looking forward to it!
I've been planning to get one for a long while.

Ordered a Pilot VP off Amazon - normally I don't like to order pens from there, but it was one of the Warehouse Deals and I couldn't resist such a good deal. The only bummer is that it is coming with a B nib, so I'm either going to get it ground to a stub or sell it and then buy a stub. :-) The plan is for this pen to be my EDC so that my Safari can be completely dedicated to schoolwork.

I'm waiting on my first Jinhao. The X450. It's coming all the way from China, so it's going to be at least another week till it gets to me here in Alabama. :(

Should be getting a fresh supply of ink cartridges in the mail today though. So more writing practice! ;)

I get emails from that store. Might need to look at it more carefully now. ;)

They're running a limited-time sale on Kaweco.. not every model but a pretty good deal on several.

I've always wanted one so it seemed like a calling.

Actually the website, Art of Manliness, is running a contest with Huckberry where the prize is pretty much anything that Huckberry sells. All you have to do is post what you'd like for a prize in the comments section of the contest. Naturally I said I would love the Kaweco Pen. :)

A nice, pink Uni Kuru Toga high-grade .5mm pencil along with some 4b nano-dia leads. Not a pen, but I figured it was time to update my pencil a bit. My .9mm Sheaffer Snorkel pencil is nice for daily writing, but not so much for Linear Algebra.

Calculating.

Neat. I take it that is the eraser under the blind cap?

I'm waiting on 4 Platinum Preppy's that I will convert to eyedroppers (2 for the kids and 2 for work note taking).

It's been 2 weeks and they can't stop asking about it - it's a good sign!

Yes, a blind cap for the eraser on the cap. A cap and cap sort of.... thingy....

I've never seen one like it before, and for a combo it's really got a high quality feel to it.

My version of the guide for the Pilot Varsity Nib transplantation to the Platinum Preppy

DIY Retractable Fountain Pen (Couldn't get it to work, now refilling Schmidt 888 M refills with FP inks in a Pilot G2 Limited, the ceramic roller tip is as smooth as a Firm FP steel nib, Poor Man's VP I guess)

The beauty of the screw-in nib system on Edison pens is that the user can replace the nibs easily, with a selection of stainless steel or 18K gold units.

To this end, I'm sending Pendleton Brown a third #6 SS. JoWo 1.1 mm italic to be worked on. His "Butter-line" stubs are excellent writers.

In addition, there's no need to send the whole pen across the Canada/USA Border,... just the nib-set.

I'm waiting for a Hero 160 with the 12k gold nib, a Baoer 100 that i accidently won for 3 dollars and the Jinhao snake pen. Seriously if you like gaudy, awesome pens look up the snake pen. I'm psyched for it.

All of these were the results of eBay in the wee hours of the morning...
