Ok, so I made it 12 days into 2014 without a pen purchase. Everything else pen related, yes, but until today...

Waiting for some Sheaffer schools pens with firm nibs from Pendemonium's midnight madness sale.

On its way from Japan, a tidy looking 30's eyedropper with shutoff valve. My first! The tines looked long enough to be potentially interesting too, so fingers crossed there's a touch of flex there.

Just got it last night, another Parker 45. A nice new old stock one in Turquoise Blue with the gold trim. For the price, I couldn't resist. It has the accountant version of the nib too, and I think only one of my other 45s have an A nib. Some recent 45s had been going for quite a lot on the 'Bay, it was nice to snag another perfect one for about $16 shipped.

Wow, these carrying pouches are cool.....

Love the TV spots. All of the kids with the Pelikanos look so darn happy... The dual-cartridge feature is nicely executed in this model...

A Kaweco Sport V16N. I'm going to need a cap turned for it.

I've never thought of getting a cap turned for a capless eBay find. Do you know how much a pen turner charges for just a cap? Or, do you do it yourself?

When I first got interested in fountain pens I told to myself there's no way I am going to buy a chinese pen. I am now waiting for a white Jinhao X750 which I got from ebay for $4 including P&P. And I must say I am pretty excited. :)

I can turn something if I have to; the problem being that I have a woodworking lathe instead of a precision machine lathe.

I've no idea how much it will cost. If it's too high, I'll buy some vulcanite stock from a pipe-maker's supply-house and turn a friction fit cap myself. I'd prefer to get one made so it will screw on with the pen threads and have a pocket clip. (Again, Delta 4-something antique vs a metal lathe.)

Pilot Falcon, rhodium trim, soft extra-fine nib. And soon the2013 Edison Nouveau Premiere LE should be taking wing--or wheel or whatever the mail travels by in that instance--soon.
