Waiting for my Chatterley/Stipula Gladius Bronzo Celluloid, Piston Filler, from Bryant at Pentime.com. It was expected today per the USPS tracking number, but is still "in transit". Hopefully it will show up tomorrow. No affiliation with Pentime, just a very satisfied customer. :)

Alright, the Caran d'Ache 849 ballpoint arrived last night. I had been wanting a TWSBI Precision bp to match my pencil, but this was cheaper and I think it's different enough to be an interesting piece (which is a rare thing to say about ballpoints, imo)

I am waiting for a Pelikano 1st generation from Penboard .de

It was the commercials that sold me.

These commercials were made in 1959 for the 1960 intro. Of interest to me are the pen-as-missile spots since my US Army unit was ready with atomic warhead Honest Johns for the defence of what-ever we were defending then. These missiles and our battery's array of self-propelled vehicles were a topic of conversation and visibility in West Germany. Particularly when we were on manuevers through small street villages and would manage to knock the corners off a building or two.

I don't speak German, but that only emphasizes how effective those ads are. I can only guess at what's being said (most of it, I'm sure, about how sucky it is when ink bottles tump over or otherwise cause a mess), but the emotion and acting and scenes are wonderfully done and get the point across wonderfully.

I want one now. ;)

Pilot Elite Pocket Pen with an 18k fine nib. I'm pretty excited about it.

Is this one of the vintage ones, or the new 95th anniversary edition? My Elite 95S has a 14K nib. I really dig it.

My oldest boy is a PhD computer scientist. I asked him whether he was interested in fountain pens. His answer was "no, definitely not". He either types his work ot writes on a white board with a marker. We laughed about me finding a vintage marker,

Two days later, what shows up on ebay than a Pelikan Pig marker from the late 50's. Now waiting for piggie arrival to send to its' new office home on the Bay.

3 Oblique dip pen holders.....got to run down to the letter box....now.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
