Greetings! First post so here goes.. :)

I nabbed two black rOtring 600 series fountain pens (old-style) with EF nibs from ebay.de, one to use and one to keep. I also bought a rOtring leather holster for four 600 series pens.

Would have been bargains otherwise but the S&H kills me... 46 euro for the three of them because the pedantic sellers insist on sending them via DHL insured and whatever... That was like 25% of the total price, yikes...

Well, I just hope they arrive safely to me and the FPs match the description (NOS/mint). I have been lusting for the 600 series pens ever since I bought two black mechanical pencils (0.5 and 0.9mm) of that series when I was studying product design back in '97. I still have 'em and they are my go to pens for any kind of drafting.

German engineering and industrial design in black works for me most of the time. ;D Come to think of it, that is kind of funny because the style and aesthetics that create the most vivid resonance within me is Art Nouveau / Jugend. Go figure...

In December, I ordered a Conklin Mark Twain (steel F nib) that was scheduled to ship out in mid-January. Oh look! It's on its way to me as I write this, hooray!

Should be here by Saturday.

Waiting for the most, ever.

December was bad.

January is worse.

I've just figured up what I've spent on pens

in the last year and have declared a moratorium

on any more pen purchases. (my husband laughed

at that one and said, "until you find the next one

you want."

I am expecting my Levenger Verona, a Levenger Obsidian

with a stub nib and a Levenger demonstrator in Blue

Bahama, just for fun.

Last Fall, when the markets really started to crash, I started a self-imposed moratorium on buying pens and inks. I've recently fallen off the wagon and what I'm waiting for now is a red Esterbrook J, which I purchased off another FPN member.

I haven't used lever fillers in years, so I'm hoping that it'll be a good experience.

I have two pens in the works from Edison Pen Co. First is his new #76 in Tortoise Acrylic, cartridge filler with the Edison 18k nib, second is a Herald in a vintage ebonite Brian was saving for me after I ordered a pen in December. That one is the Capucino Pearl pictured on his website.

The #76 will be about a week away, the ebonite Herald will be late February.

Platinum PTB-10000B UEF nib

Pelikan M150 M nib

Pilot Custom 742 FA nib

Pilot Prera Brown M nib

and Varuna Vishal eyedropper EF italic nib

I should be getting these within the next 3 weeks or so.

It's been 2 months since I began this fountain pen journey.

At first I was looking for a single pen to write notes with.

Then it was more xf nibs for colour coded notes.

Fascination with different inks soon followed.

Then flex nibs.

Just when I thought this obsession was going to halt,

medium, bold nibs are starting look nice....

I never liked thick lines before, and I thought it was because I was used to writing Korean(more strokes per letter, crowding issue)

It turns out, I didn't like thick lines because I didn't like the mundane colour of led pencils or pencils.

These thick lines are so beautiful with colour!

I'm afraid what's going to come next...

My budget is shot to hell, I'm working extra hours to make up for this crazy spending.
