What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Dutch postal services fouled up an order from terrim, a sheaffer imperial II deluxe :( . Terri was most helpful in sorting out what went wrong when and where, but it will take a while before the pen will be reshipped now that it's on its way back to sender.

Spotted a Sheaffer 440 on a local fleabay site and that one should be arriving tomorrow, my first inlaid nib sheaffer! Now the wait for the other sheaffer will be a lot less enduring.

Hi Tijntje. Who was the Carrier??

Perhaps ask Teri to use another next time?

A pair of Baoer 3040 pens. They appear to have similar dimensisons and design to Pelikans, if they work out as far as ink flow and smoothness, one is a gift for a friend; she's never used a fountain pen.

Lamy Al-Star in pearl. :-) With the 1.1 stub nib. I'm super excited, because since I started using FPs, I think I've been chasing the look I can only get with a stub - not quite calligraphy level, but just a bit of line variation to make my daily writing look interesting. Last I knew it was in VA and expected arrival date is Saturday, but sometimes I've had the postal service be speedier than they predicted... Either way, this is my last pen purchase for a while, so I'm pretty stoked about it.

The carrier here in The Netherlands was TNT, never had issues with them and I do quite a bit of online ordering. So I'll keep a closer eye on the USPS tracking site this time instead of just waiting for the mail system to do their thing.

Waiting for a pilot VP in the mail from gouletpens (not affiliated)! The package has been stuck at Sandston, VA (?) for a couple of days now so I'm not sure what's holding it up. I really do hope I get it soon though ( I was supposed to receive the package by yesterday!

Jinhao X750 Black

and

Baoer 100 Sky Blue

For some reason I'm going through a Chinese phase... I recently got a Hero 616 Jumbo and a Wing Sung 233 -- both of which wrote really nicely right out of the mail. (After a flush cleaning of course.) Both pens really surpassed my expectations -- both were nice and wet and smooth, and good starters. So, I have decent expectations for these pens as well.

Cheers,

Matt

Waiting for a Pelikan 100n pencil with the fluted clip. I have the pen. Now I'll have a set of these early '40s war babies.
