Currently waiting for a mystery Pelikan fountain pen, I won it on ebay yesterday but I've no idea of model or nib size. Going off the photo I think it's a 10 year old M200 but I'll have to wait to find out, the pics below are from the auction.

It's my first Pelikan so the mystery is adding to the anticipation :D

It looks like my M200. You'll enjoy it, they're very smooth writers.

Pilot Metropolitan, black with crocodile pattern. This will be my first black pen. I usually go for more obnoxious colours, or golds and ambers.

I'm writing an online serial thing. It's urban fantasy. And I have no idea how long it's going to run for.

A restored double jewel model Arnold with what looks like a fairly nice medium nib that supposedly has at least some flex to it. Currently ETA is Thursday. :)

I know it's a third tier pen, and I may have paid a bit too much for it (OTOH, the original asking price was $100, which was pretty much insane, IMO). But it looks to be a nice pen.

BTW -- it (plus a number of other pens I've seen listed on Ebay) is said to be from the collection of someone name Morris Sherman. Anyone have a clue as to who that is/was? The only connection I could find on Google were all the Ebay listings, but I guess that is supposed to mean something to someone.

This is the pen I'm getting:

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Well I'm hoping for a sumgai. I snagged an Omas Paragon in Saft celluloid ca. 1992 on eBay. The seller mentioned, and the pix confirmed, that it had ink in the cap and needed to be cleaned. If that's all that's wrong with it, I will be one happy buyer. And if not... The seller has a 14-day return policy.

Really pushing the boat out with... a Stypen. I'm going to relive my schooldays, apparently. Why I should want to do that is beyond me, but I have fond memories of Stypens and want to see if my memory is as faulty as I suspect!

Cheers, Al

Dutch postal services fouled up an order from terrim, a sheaffer imperial II deluxe :( . Terri was most helpful in sorting out what went wrong when and where, but it will take a while before the pen will be reshipped now that it's on its way back to sender.

Spotted a Sheaffer 440 on a local fleabay site and that one should be arriving tomorrow, my first inlaid nib sheaffer! Now the wait for the other sheaffer will be a lot less enduring.
