What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Mike - I've been considering an Italix PE. Do you already have one? If so, do what nib and do you recommend?

This was my first tentative step into the FP world so I went with the medium nib. I'm still something of a novice and I can offer only my gut feelings! 18 months on and I love it as it seems to forgive both my abuse(!) and all qualities of paper.

Check out this review as it includes a lot of information and comment on the pen from much more experienced and knowledgeable contributors! Go towards the end of the review and you'll find writing samples for the various nibs....

Hope it helps!

Three custom made BP, in three different combinations of cardinal red and white (Ball State University colors). They will be gifts for either my graduating students or for my staff as birthday presents. The maker just sent me one in Auburn University's colors (birthday gift for one of my staff, who is a rapid fan).

I don't give FP as a gift unless I am pretty darn sure the recipient will appreciate it.

I had a vision of what my every-day carry might be. I know I will always include a Pelikan p&p set of 100, 140, 250, or 400. My icons of the golden age. Yet I was thinking about a slightly more Modern icon.

To no readers surprise, I am waiting for a Lamy Black 2000 Broad, the matching pencil in .7 mil, and the Lamy leather 2 slot carrier in matte black.

At least I'll be an anachronism only dating back to 1966!

I'm out of control: A 14K Fine Parker 45, a 14K Medium Sheaffer Targa, and a 14K Medium Pilot Celemo. Also waiting on a bottle of Asa Gao and Noodler's Navy. I guess it doesn't add up to any great sum, but it feels out of control to me. :)

I know my id is "mhosea", but you can call me Mike. It's an old Unix thing.

I just ordered a 1957(ish) Pelikan 400Nn tortoise with a fine nib from Rick Propas. So excited. I've heard such great things about this vintage pen.

Pelikans: swirl green gold nibbed Celebry, 400N tortoise, & 500 tortoise.

Well after waiting three months for my Grail pen to show up....the money burned a hole in my pocket.

No will power.

Next summer I'll look again for my Grail pen.

Conid Bulk filler Streamline Demonstrator, fine nib (titanium) and a medium stub nib (steel). I'm "waiting" in that payment has been sent, but I'm not technically waiting for the mail yet as the pen won't ship for another week or so and then will have to go through US customs and all that. Gonna be a long couple / three weeks.

Sheaffer maroon, broad cap band, smooth clip, touchdown, triumph nib. Problem is I can't tell if it's a fat or thin model.

No serial number on nib and thin smooth strip on section. Could be a thin model, couldn't it? It's that nib that grabbed me.
