What pen are you waiting for in the mail?

Waiting for my 2 pens to come back home to me:

1. Montblanc 146 Le Grande from Greg Minuskin - ground down from a Montblanc Fine to ~0.3mm

2. Montblanc 149 75th Anniversary - back from MB itself for service (taking a mighty long time I must add!)

Fountain pens are like weapons. They just make your pocket bleed so much.

I'm awaiting a Waterman Fountain pen with 18k nib - model was not identified so it'll be a surprise when it arrives!

Also, awaiting the arrival of a MB Starwalker in Black & Platinum.

A Pelikan 140 with OB nib.

Several, actually.

  • A pair of Romus Majestic clear demonstrators are scheduled to be delivered with today's post. Both go out as gifts to people who are interested in learning how to use fountain pens. They're reliable learners and if they get dropped, machs nicht.
  • A destroyed (barrel broken) Conklin Crescent which I'll use to repair one of mine and one my lovely wife ordered.
  • A Sheaffer Junior flat-top that's a very pretty black/grey/white marble which I'll likely have to re-sac
  • Twenty dip-pen chromed ferrules. I thought I'd give a pass at making a few pen holders on my lathe. My local woodyard is chanting "Ebony. Ebony. Use it now. Buy more!" ;)

Why, I'm so glad you asked! I'm expecting to find my Fountain Pen Day gift to myself, a rose gold TWSBI 580. Yes, I did stalk the retailer's site so I could order the moment it became available.... :)

Pelikan M200, used, from the eightties. I picked up an M150 M recently, it's such a great writer that I placed a bid on that M200 for the amount I would have otherwise spent on an F nib for the M150.

I have three different Serwex in the mail. I'm interested to see how they perform plus they may be my test specimens for learning how to do simple nib modifications.

Waiting on a striated Parker vacumatic with a .6 date code. I have long wanted one of these pens and finally have one on it's way!

I've just received my Kullock Vacumatic 51 demonstrator body from Argentina - it took a bit longer than European shipping but arrived safe and sound in the UK, and with no Customs duty to pay. Now to fix it up with the parts from a couple of breaker pens.

Too many pens, too little time!

Sheaffer Imperial II deluxe from Peyton Street Pens. I think it's closing on 2 weeks since ship date, so I'm hoping for it to arrive any day now. Looking forward to tinkering with the touchdown filling system, a first in my collection!
