Well I just sent my Sheaffer Snorkel out for restoration yesterday but that will probably be a while before Linda can get to it. So I have a few I will get before it returns I'm just not sure what yet.

I did it in a moment of weakness brilliance. I was wondering what pen would be a good fit for my new De Atramentis Khacki and it hit me, a brown Schrade Tactical Fountain Pen. Now it is inbound.

Fixed.

I have posted here before about a nib customization. That 0.8 mm Butter-line stub that I received writes like a dream.

Recently I sent the original single-tone 1.1mm JoWo ss. stub (from my Edison Purple-Web Celluloid Pearl) to Pendleton to give this nib a richer flow & the smooth, Butter-line treatment.

Looking forward to the new writing experience.

I was given some money for my birthday recently and, rather than spend it on one mid-range pen, I decided to experiment with a few Chinese pens. I’ve heard and read mixed reviews, so I’m very keen to get my hands on these and give them a test drive. I’m waiting for the following:

Wing Sung 01 porcelain with landscape design

Jinhao 500 brown marble

Jinhao 500 red marble

Duke D2-1 gold

Jinhao 159

Jinhao 750 milk white

**Must remember to clean them thoroughly first**

So the Wing Sung has turned up. Here's a pic and initial impressions.

The recently released Platinum 3776 in Chartres Blue is supposedly winging its way to me from Engeika over in Japan. So a Japanese pen with a European-inspired name is flying to the States. Globalism for the win.

My recently won fat little "Goldfish" pen with a broad nib to match - compliments of the last Newton Pens raffle. I had to wait a little longer as I went out of town just as it was finished. There's now a seamless "Pimento & Olive" with a red section and CI nib in the creative queue.

Just arrived - Levenger True Writer Silver Seas, another broad nib...

Just bought a whole bunch of calligraphy stuff, books, pens, nibs and I don't know what else from an online estate sale.

It's going to be fun, I hope, to find out if I really got some good stuff that I can use myself, that I can use at the local senior center when I teach a VERY basic calligraphy & cursive course and maybe even some goodies to sell.

Please wish me luck.

And to all a good night!

Waiting patiently for my Pelikan M800 Tortoiseshell which was posted more than 13 days ago from a renown seller to all FP lovers. I hope it wasn't lost in the mail :(

Fountain pens are like weapons. They just make your pocket bleed so much.
