Having missed the original and after a long search on the internet I found a remake of the Visconti Divina Proporzione.

I ordered a Nemosine demonstrator with a fine nib from Amazon yesterday. I should have it on Monday. I'm also waiting on a few bottles of ink: Pelikan Edelstein Topaz, Noodler's BSB, and PR DCSSB (4ml sample off eBay).

The limited edition re-issue pink Lamy Safari. I've been waiting for it for months.

A Pilot VP and another fine Prera. Oh yes, and the wonderful Platinum #3776 Sai. I guess it's my "support Japan" week :D

I know exactly what you mean! I think it must be a disease? I'm patiently awaiting a Namiki with Falcon nib (it's taking an age) and a vintage Geha from somewhere odd (Bulgaria? Rumania? I've forgotten)

Succumbed to a Pilot Justus 95 in FM. Plus a bunch of Pilot Parallels and Sailor Calligraphy pens. I'd like to think of this splurge as a belated birthday gift to myself :P

Waiting for a Lamy Vista. I had to limit the nibs to a fine and an extra-fine for this month. Next month I'll order a 1.1 mm and a 1.5 mm calligraphy nibs.

Sigh. Another TWSBI mini. This one's the classic with a fine nib.

Greetings all,

As some of you know, (from another thread in Inky Thoughts), one of my beloved Watarman Phileas' got clogged from a saturated ink that shall remain nameless. At any rate, I vowed that I'll never use saturated inks in any of my sealed nib/section pens again.

Enter the Noodler's Ahab Pen. I decided on an Ahab for several reasons:

1. Large ink capacity, (eye dropper capability)

2. Filling system

3. Large diameter barrel for a more relaxed grip

4. Better nib/cap clearance than the Konrad, (my initial first choice).

So, I opted for an Ahab in Blue Inferno and also ordered a Goulet 1.1 mm stub nib to go with it. I love the fact that these Noodlers pens, (the latest two models anyway), can be COMPLETELY disassembled for eazy-peazy servicing and cleaning. GREAT CONCEPT! If my Phileas had been designed that way, I could have eliminated the clog in five minutes or less, (I know, a major manufacturer designing something for easy maintenance - QUIT DREAMING! ).

Along with the pen, I also ordered a few ink samples, (all Noodlers colors, including BSB, I figured if the pen works out, I can look into more saturated type inks, maybe even a couple of bulletproofs, if I like the color, since that is all I'd buy them for). I'm going to try the BSB in a dip pen, if I like the color well enough, I'll pick up another Ahab or Nib Creeper and dedicate it.

The Blue Inferno Ahab that I have coming is going to be dedicated to PR American Blue - I love the color for signatures and it is the closest match I've been able to find to Penman Sapphire. (I think Diamine's Sargasso Sea may also come close, from the reviews I've seen- but I've read too many complaints about it having ignition and skipping problems, so I guess I'm going to pass on it for the time being).

At any rate, I can't wait to get my new Ahab and stub nib from the Goulet's! :puddle:

All the best,

Sean :)

Edit: Corrected typo.

An Aurora Hastil.

It's been high on my wish-list for a while and in a moment of weakness . . . .
