Hello everyone, I just became a member of this site today. I've been interested in fountain pens for a few weeks now, and after doing some investigative research I came across this site. I think it's a wonderful source for information and the members of the community are just fantastic. Since I just ordered my first fountain pen yesterday I figured this topic is a great place to start. I ordered a Noodler's Ahab Flex Pen (the clear demonstrator) and a bottle of ink. That will be my first fountain pen, hopefully one of many. I'm already on the edge of my seat waiting for its arrival! I also want to devote a few words to say I am pleased to be a part of this community.

Lovely! The wider MB nibs seem always to have a stubbish nature to them, and I have never failed to be impressed with their smooth writing. I'm sure you'll enjoy this pen! :)

I'm waiting for my first Parker 51 with a 1.1 stub. I have never used or physically held a 51 and am excited to try this iconic pen. Should arrive today or tomorrow.

Well, let me see now...

There is an Ahab with an EF Bock nib and possibly an OB as well, two Sheaffers of 1940 vintage (one with a vermielle military clip) and a nib section for an Esterbrook "M".

Of course I am being selective so that I can have some cash left for the New England Pen Show.

My first TWSBI, a Diamond 580 with an extra-fine nib. It should be here soon, if the delivery estimate is anything to believe.

Waiting for Brian Gray to finish these two babies! Chose the colors and the style to commemorate my old high school. Waiting for custom clips. There are two because one is for my brother. It's going to be a surprise, so don't tell him!

Currently waiting on another Konrad (Red Mesa Tortoise, to replace the one I lost last fall), and a second Flex Piston Creaper (Vulcan's Coral -- been admiring that color since it was first released). They're on sale/closeout at isellpens (no affiliation other than a repeat customer) and the prices were just too good to pass up.

Also a Vector FP/BP set (blue, UK made; a "Buy it Now" from Ebay) for my husband's niece; she's graduating from high school (valedictorian of her class) and I figured she needed nice pens. My brother-in-law was a little worried about her losing stuff, but I figure that Vectors are inexpensive enough that it's not a tragedy if she does (okay, well, me losing *mine* was a tragedy of EPIC proportions -- but that's me; I had history with that pen :crybaby:).

Kind regards,

I am waiting for my Visconti Opera Crystal Mosquito, which I had to send back, because it wouldn't stop skipping.

I am also waiting for my second TWSBI 580; this one will have a B nib customized by Pendleton Brown. It has left the shipping facilities in Georgia, maybe it has even arrived in Germany, but who knows! Pen ordering is an exercise in patience.

Oh, and there is a second Preppy Pen on its way.
