Good weekend on the Bay.

I am anticipating an unfamiliar 1930's Tempo button filler from a dealer in Poland and a Sterling Eversharp set in the box from a seller in the States.

Will post the pics upon arrival

Glad to be back! Thanks gang.

Went a little crazy on eBay this weekend and have several on the way.....

- Whal Eversharp Gold Filled Ladies Ring Top (hopefully w/ a flex!)

- Newish Waterman Green Marble Hemisphere or Expert (pics a little hard to tell)

- Lamy Safari in standard yellow (unknown nib size)

- Parker 45 CT black plastic with "A" nib in good shape

- NIB Sheaffer "cartridge pen" Black body, silver cap, gold clip (possibly a Skripsert?)

- And finally..... a "1940's" black Pilot with gold trim, silver nib

I'm getting pretty enthusiastic about building my collection beyond modern low/mid end Pilots, Chinese pens, and a Twisbi 580 - hoping to build my restoration knowledge as well!

Oh... and I forgot my heirloom Sheaffer Craftsman thats being restored currently....

A Hero 616 with green barrel, not such an incredible pen - but for $1.75 shipped from China quite the outstanding price to use with one of my green inks :D

Hi all,

Glad to be back, I missed this board! During the downtime, I looked for unusual fountain pens. I snagged this beauty just before it was removed from the Hisnibs website. I bought a bottle of Monteverde ink to go with it. Can we say 'excited'? :)

Count me as another one that played too much on E-Bay while the FPN site was down.

1. Cross Bordeaux Pinnacle with a fine nib.

2. Cross Black Townsend with a medium nib.

Both of these pens now complete the sets. I will now have matching FP, RB & Bp's of each in these colors.

Actually waiting on my first "real" pen. This one http://www.xfountainpens.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=JH157 and a few ink samples. I got it with the German extra fine nib. Tracking says it should be here tomorrow!

Two at once, just by the luck of having two auctions go in my favor: a lovely little Conklin Endura ringtop in black and bronze celluloid, and a nice carmine Sheaffer balance with a wide jeweller's band. I'm looking forward to them!

I did some shopping while the board was down for so long. I'm waiting for a Waterman Expert II, a Levenger Decathlon Shiraz, a Nussbaum Phoenix, a Bexley 2011 Owner's Pen, and a Pelikan M600 in Blue.

"I need more pens."

A green Esterbrook with a 9314-M Medium Stub nib. I've been sort of having Estie fever recently -- I got a NOS 9668 nib in the mail today, and another green one (an SJ) with a 9128 nib came last week.

Funnily enough, I don't have any blue ones. All the blue ones I've seen on Ebay recently either had boring average nibs (lots of 2556s and 2668s) or were way too expensive, or both.... I've got green, red, brown and black -- just not blue. Of course the one I saw last year in an antiques mall that I passed on at the time was blue, and of course, and of course I'm just kicking myself now....

Funny that, Ruth: I had a whole slew of Esties but no blue, also. And, as it would turn out, the one I landed last year happens to be my only $1.50 pen, the precursor to the J series. It is marvelous, too, glad it brought up the rear, so to speak...
