I can't stop buying pens! This is my next one along with a bottle of Smoked Topaz ink by Chesterfield.

An Achat from XFountainpens, right? They are great - look great, write great. Congratulations, and enjoy.

(I've got one, too.)

The X450 Quinate set from xfountainpens. I only wanted three, but it was cheaper to get the set since it contained the two I really wanted and the third I was ambivalent about. All with the standard medium nibs.

I seem to be developing a collection. Is there a cure?

A blue Parker Slimfold. Was looking for an affordable way to get into vintage pens and this seemed like a decent option.

A few days ago I ordered a Brightly coloured custom ebonite pen from Ranga Pens in India. i LOVE Indian pens.

I am told it will take 10 days to make and who knows when it will get to me.

BUT ... I am patiently waiting. I am VERY excicted to see how it comes out.

I purchased a Pilot desk pen that has a Japanese Extra-Fine (I'm hoping it's fine enough for my taste, so far I've been unhappy with every fine nib I've tried)

I'm also waiting on a Fountain Pen Revolution Dilli (my first attempt at a flex pen) and a cheap Baoer pen that is a clone of the Mont Blanc Starwalker Fountain Pen (I currently own a real Starwalker, but it's a ballpoint. I figured it would be fun to play around with the chinese clone of the FP version before I set aside the money to purchase the real deal in order to complete the set)

These four arrived in the post today :-/

In order they are:

Faber-Castell Basic Carbon Black with an EF nib - writes nicely

Something purporting to be a Jinhao 1200 with an 18k nib. Bought cheap off ebay and it's very ostentatious - maybe something for the desk as I work in substance misuse and it may seem a bit bling, despite the price tag! lol. Not sure if it is a real jinhao but it writes extremely nicely so I am happy, whatever it is.

Lamy Al Star Special Edition Black with a M nib (installed a converter and sucked some waterman South Sea Blue ink into it) - writes better than any parker duofold I have ever owned.

Lamy Safari Special Edition Neon Yellow with a F nib - again writes like a charm.

Happy with my purchases and I was pleased that cultpens sent me a highlighter for 8p, a free Lamy rollerball, and a free stabilo fibre tip to go with the two safaris :-)

I sold the Pelikan M1000, after pondering on it for few days it was just too big to be practical and I have no need for a $400 signature pen. The pen was so nice, but it almost looked clown-like in my medium/large sized hand. So I have a Pelikan M800 on order, the smaller nib and body should be more proportionate and practical for everyday use. If I have a $300+ pen I want to be able to use it... a lot...

I am waiting for a Dilli in blue medium and a Jinhao 159 honesty . .

I am especially looking forward to the Dilli because I am not a tinkerer nor do I wish to be; this rules out the TWSBI and Noodler's pens.

TWSBI Diamond 580, 1.1 stub. My first TWSBI, first demonstrator, first proper stub. (Some of my broad nib are at least stubbish.) I wonder where this will lead to...

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

As I've got a new found appreciation for Chinese ponds I'm expecting a jinao x450 in coral red with a broad nib. Hopefully it's as smooth as my other jinhao pen!!

Also awaiting a 10 pen leather case
