One of the two pens arrived today. I wanted to try out the two Sailor DE Brush Stroke pens. I got the 40 degree version. I'm not sure if I'm in love yet, but I'm making more interesting Chinese characters with it. The hard part is learning the writing, and this pen gets me closer than my brush pen to what I see in the book I'm using. I'm looking forward to the 55 degree version so I can write smaller.

They're in New Jersey waiting out the storm.

Just got a Pelikan Tortoise m101N from novelli. Very surprised it made it from Rome to New Jersey in two days! Really beautiful pen, so glad I finally got one and mad that I didn't try earlier!

I am also awaiting an aka-tamenuri Nakaya Naka-ai, but face it, the Esterbrook is going to get here first. (I was told the Nakaya would probably arrive in April or May.)

There's no doubt that the Parker 51 is an iconic pen of the post-war era. I wager that the TWSBI Mini will be the iconic pen of the first half of the 21st. century. I have both pens. What's the most iconic pen of the pre-war era? Waterman 52? Yes! And I am waiting for one in the mail. Can't wait. Going crazy with excitement...

Please, report on how you like it! I recently bought a Corona, with a custom stub made from the steel fine nib. I like the pen, mostly due to its superior ergonomics, for my hand, anyway. But the nib is quite a nail. If you don't mind that, you're going to love the Corona.
