I'm waiting on the return of my Pelikan M405 from the venerable Pendelton Brown who is working his nib magic with a 'Butter-line' custom grind. Yes, time passes slowly.....

A couple cheap Chinese pens I am going to play with.

But, the kicker is:

I was looking at a friends vanishing point, and decided I had to have one.

I bought a cherry used one off ebay, from a pen guy for 80 bucks plus shipping. I have been watching these, and didn't figure I could do much better.

It was supposed to come last Thursday. I checked the tracking page, and it was re-posted to be delivered on Friday. Didn't come Friday.

Now it is listed as being delivered on the 31st!!

Looks like Brown lost the package! I have gotten a lot of stuff delivered by Brown, and have never seen this happen...DANGIT!

That is what Brown did for me!

Waiting for a vintage Conway Stewart 75 that I won on the bay.

Also waiting for a burgundy marbled Wearever. Tracking shows it should be delivered by the Post Office today. Given that Hurricane Sandy is battering us today, I think the pen won't be here for a few more days. I guess that gives me time to decide what ink to use in it!

Just had about $400 of Akkerman inks arrive for our pen club (14 bottles). The colours on screen don't do the inks justice. And the customer service and packing are stellar.

For myself, I took a look at Greg Minuskin's website, and wound up getting a Black Sheaffer Balance XF with a #33 Flex nib

and then a few days later an all metal Redipoint with a fantastic Fleur de Lis pattern, and 14k flex nib.

So... I also bought Caliken's book on how to write Copperplate, since I now have pens I need to learn to use decently....

My pals at the Big Apple Pen Club also want to order the Akkerman ink bottles. Do you mind if I ask you how you went about ordering them?

@andrew98

I found a Taccia Momenta with Broad nib in mint condition online. I've never owned a Taccia or a pen with a broad nib, so that's how I justified this one. It's a beautiful design. I like faceted pens, and the Momenta's twist is unique.

Thats beautiful! Where did you get it from? I must get me one.

A TWSBI Diamond 540 (blue) and a Noodler's Konrad (clear) are due very soon!

Only regret pens you've bought, not pens you didn't
