Waiting for my first Chinese pens: Jinhao 159 and Wing Sung 233!

Yay! The Wing Sung 233 doesn't work for me because I hold my pens weird, but it's a really likable pen. I hope you enjoy them both!

Thanks for the cheer! I'll try to post something in the "What Chinese Fountain Pens are You Using Today?" topic after they arrive. :clap1:

I just received a Jinhau 159 today in the mail. For a $.99 pen, I am truly surprised and impressed, it writes really quite nicely.

Waiting for a Parker 25 in the mail...this was the first fountain pen that I used in school and brings several interesting memories...(fellow student + parker 25 + bunsen burner = burn mark on the back of my hand that is visible to this day!).

I was at my storage unit out west and was reunited with the pens I had as a young man.

I mailed most of them back to myself which could take days.

I flew back with my '59 Maroon PFM PDAG MF nib in my pocket. This was my every day pen for years. It had enough old black Skrip ink in it that let me draw in a little water and use it on the trip back. I paid less than $10 for it in 1978. It was NOS just sitting in an old display

The ones I'm still waiting for are several favorite Esterbrooks I used to draw with.

A black Parker Vacumatic with a stub nib that belonged to my grandmother.

A Sheaffer Vac. Sentinel with a bottom dot that belonged to my grandfather.

A small cranberry Duofold set I'd bought in a Solvang antique store many years back.

How can you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

TWSBI Diamond 540, 1.1 stub nib.

After reading all these"what pen should I get?" threads lately, this pen couldn't have been suggested more times. I will be seeing what the hype is all about in the near future. Plus loads of ink samples from the Goulet's. :bunny01:

A Jinhao X750 in the.. Sparkling sand? effect. Pretty.

I so want a TWSBI 540 but I don't think I'm going to get one now, as I probably won't have the required amount of money until Christmas.. And I don't think the few UK sites that have a couple left will have any by then.

The list is RIDICULOUS, but:

- xFountainpens x540, fine nib, claret coloured

- Sailor Clear Candy, metallic pink (fine nib, but all Clear Candies are fine nibbed)

- Jinhao 1200 (golden dragon)

- Hero something or other, it has a panda on it and that's all that matters

- Reform 1745

- Pilot 78G (another one! I liked the first one so much that I wanted a second)

- TWSBI Diamond 540 (my most expensive pen EVER)

- Esterbrook SJ (I think it's a gunmetal/black colour)

- Platinum PN-500 (which seems to be somewhere between the Plasir and the Preppy. It's stripy)

- Serwex 1362, fine

- Camlin 18, fine nib, red (and I am going to need some silicone grease for those two)

- Baoer 507 Eight Horses, medium nib

- Wing Sung pen, fine nib, not sure of the number, it's supposed to be porcelain with blue painting on it.

... yeaaaaah. Quite a few. I should have the Reform by the end of the week, though, since it's coming from within Canada.

Brings that down to four - the Baoer 507, the Wing Sung, Pilot 78G and the Estie. :D

I'm writing an online serial thing. It's urban fantasy. And I have no idea how long it's going to run for.

2 out of 3 pens are still in the mail, but the Pilot VP arrived yesterday. Wow! What a sweet design. This is great!

The Ranga will be here in a couple weeks, based on the shipping time from my last order.

The Pilot 78G says it's in Sacramento. I have two addresses on PayPal because I've moved from California to Georgia. I'm concerned that the ebay seller sent it to the wrong address even though all my ebay order confirmations have my Atlanta address on them. To make things worse, Paypal is a PITA to manage addresses. Oh well, if it gets delivered to my parents' house they'll just forward it to me. Still, this is going to be the second merchant who has ignored the order info and sent to my old address.

Looks like my fears were unfounded. It was just passing through Sacramento. Whew. I'd say I can't wait to get home and try my new Pilot 78G, but I haven't ordered any red ink for it yet.

Custom order Ranga #3 is still in the mail.

Two bottles of ink have yet to be ordered.
