A Waterman 52 is on its way to me, with a "super flexy nib," according to the seller. Can't wait! I have a bit of experience with older Montblancs (146, 244, 342) from the 1950s with springy and flexible nibs. But if I'm not mistaken, the Waterman 52 should trump them all with respect to flexibility and "vintageness."

A few more days, if all goes well.

journaling / tinkering with pens / sailing / photography / software development

I am waiting for a Mont Blanc 146 BB. I picked it up on on ebay yesterday but it can take up to two and a half weeks till it gets here. Waiting is killing me but good to know I'm not the only one who is having troubles with this so this thread eases the pain.

I am completely new to fountain pens, but I ordered two online. They are expected to arrive next week. I bought the Jinhao 159 and the Kaigelu 356. I hope they work well!

Pilot/Namiki Custom 823 Smoke in medium . . . can take up to 4 weeks to arrive from Japan. It must be getting delivered via ocean-liner at that speed. :hmm1: :gaah: Oh well, it's on the way I guess.

I've been out of the fountain pen scene for awhile now

but for some reason I ordered the 2012 VP when I saw it on Mr. Binder's site

So now I'm waiting for that and planning to purchase some brown ink..

At the current moment, four out of five pens that I'm waiting for in the mail are coming back from repairs or other professional care.. with only Sailor 1911 being new in box.

So, the coming weeks, I hope to get in my hand:

  • A repaired Caran d'Ache Leman Bicolor ballpoint
  • An adjusted Montblanc 149
  • An adjusted Pelikan M400
  • A Sailor 1911 which has also received some TLC
  • and finally a new 1911 (with a different nib than the one I already owned)

Starting to feel like X-mas is around the corner...

I just bought an Edison Beaumont in sapphire flake with an M nib from Richard Binder. Now the waiting begins. *sigh*

Serwex 162 flex from Fountain Pen Revolution. I'm deeply curious as to whether the pen will be suitable for sketching and/or inking.

Sadly, I suspect the Lamy Safari I ordered early is...not for me. It's annoying that the XF nib was scratchy as all get-out, but that's fixable. The proportions not fitting my hand well are a bigger issue. Oh well, I tried!
