Picked up a Swan 3160 with a Semi-Flex M Nib from a member here. Circa 1949, I'm told.

And this one was shipped from China yesterday so I don't think it will be here in time for the next pen club meeting sadly, who knows though!

I've just verified that Cole's of London has received my pen and shipped it to Italy, so roughly around Memorial Day, my beloved original HS will come home...or a replacement given that mine was a catastrophic failure...

A Parker Premier Monochrome Titanium, medium nib.

This is the most I've ever spent on a pen, and I'm a little nervous given the sometimes negative opinions expressed here about modern Parkers. But I think this pen is really beautiful. Plus, it reminds me that a very long time ago in elementary school, I spent what was then to me a lot of money on a Parker ballpoint. I was proud of that pen (hmmm, seems like this pen thing started early for me  ) and I haven't owned a Parker since so this seems like a chance to relive a bit of my past. Hope I'm not disappointed -- I'll find out Monday according to the nice FedEx people.

Easy wait this time - just a couple of Lamy Safaris in Blue and Black, with a spare chrome M, and ink samples. I'm kind of kicking myself for not including Noodler's X-Feather, but I got 5mL of that and 2mL of it as 1:1, so that should keep me busy until then.

I'm going to give the Black, I think, a mix of 1 Lamy Black to 3 Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue.

Probably going to find a nice indigo to put in the Blue.

And then the orange-stained Yellow currently with indigo will get orange or something.

Just ordered a TWSBI Vac 700 in amber from the Goulets.

Only regret: not ordering a matching bottle of Diamine Ancient Copper. Oh well; the day is still young.

I've been thinking about getting a flex nib, but I don't know if it's something I would use a lot; I'm not much of an artist. But that is a pretty amazing price. Worth it just to try one out.

I'm waiting on a Noodlers Ahab in King Philip purple which is on its way from the Goulets along with a bottle of Baystate Blue. Also en route are my first TWSBI Diamond 540 (clear demonstrator) and a Sheaffer No Nonsense with a fine nib (there's something about the NN that makes it a rather good portable pen that can stand up to most things). I'm also debating a Lamy Al Star...

I'm expecting a Konrad in jade ebonite any day now. I'm also waiting for a tortoise Konrad, a pilot 78g and some ink which should arrive next week, oh and some supplies to try my hand at some homemade iron gall ink. Wow that sounds like a lot when I list it out, good thing my better half isn't on this site :roflmho:

What he doesn't know etc...

A Sheaffer Imperial II Deluxe and a Danitrio Cum Laude.

Unfortunately both parcels are delayed for a couple of weeks, which probably means they are going through a customs inspection. :(

I can live with paying VAT, but the substantial delays and handling fees annoy me.

Nevertheless, I am really looking forward to both pens.

Definitely a good price that you can enjoy the pen and get to know how it works. I'm by no means an artist or even one with pretty handwriting, but having a flex nib (I've a few dips and another Ahab), makes writing more fun!!!

Pelican 600 black & blue from Richard Binder arrived a few minutes ago.

Earlier this week a black & red with IB nib from printhardcopy. It will take a bit of getting used to but I really like that bold italic appearance.

Regards

Jeff

Not fountain pens, but I recently splurged on dip pen barrels and several (around 10) fitting nibs, mostly normal calligraphy nibs and two or three plakat nibs. Should be arriving fairly soon...
